Your adventure will start on the south side of the Lagoon with a meeting point at Meira Pro Center (Escola Rui Meira) where you will be able to change into a wetsuit or swimsuit before the start of our trip on the Kayaks. Don't rush, relax and enjoy a coffee while we present you the beautiful "Lagoa de Albufeira" where kings of Portugal used to spend time relaxing while fishing on these same waters. You will receive a briefing on safety and how to use the Kayak equipment (life vest is mandatory) and its technics and off we go into the water. These water are super calm and the majority of the Lagoon is shallow making this location ideal for beginners and families with younger children. The tour will be circular following the shoreline of the beach towards the north side of the Lagoon which is hard to access and therefor almost empty even during the summer months. There will be time to stop on beach once we are on the north side of the Lagoon where snacks will be provided along with a relaxed time on the beach. This Lagoon is connect to the Atlantic ocean making it very unique and clean so a visit here is a must. The ones that love colder water will be able to enjoy a swim in the ocean as a stop will be made on the ocean beach for you to enjoy the point of view of our great bay stretching from Cabo Espichel on the south, all the way to Costa da Caparica on the north. Our trip will take around 3 hours in total with an easy pace and breaks in between. Fruits, water and a typical fisherman cake are included and well as beach towels and water resistant bags for you to transport any additional belongings.
