Full description

Your tour begins with hotel pick-up in Lisbon before departing for Fátima, home to one of the largest shrines in the world, which attracts more than 5 million visitors each year. Once there, visit the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, a modern church completed in 2007.

Then, stop and take your pick of religious articles or other products to get blessed at your next stop, the sanctuary.

The Sanctuary is where the Virgin Mary is believed to have appeared and left 3 messages to the small shepherd: the end of the First World War, the end of Communism, and the attack on Pope John Paul the Second.

After the sanctuary, continue your visit to the Monastery of Batalha, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site. This impressive convent was built by King John I of Portugal to thank the Virgin Mary following the battle of Aljubarrota against Spanish troops on August 14, 1385.

Next, visit Nazaré, near the ocean. Relax as you admire the wonderful beach, charming fishermen’s houses, and amazing cliffs over the Atlantic Ocean. Feel free to visit the top of the cliff, where the famous Nazaré legend took place.

After lunch, continue with a visit to the village of Óbidos, a town that is home to amazing churches and historic castle walls along its perimeter. Then it’s back to your hotel in Lisbon, where this day of cultural and religious history will end.

our guide Manuel gave us a fabulous day. He has an encyclopedia in his head and has answers to everything. He is an exceptional guide! he took care of us throughout the visits. this excursion is very interesting especially Nazaré for me because I really like the seaside, too bad it was not the time of the waves with a height of 30 meters. We will have to come back in November or December! Thanks again to Manuel!

Our guide Manuel was very attentive, with a great knowledge of history, not just of Portugal. Very flexible with schedules and attentive to traffic. The locations were very well chosen and rich in history. As a courtesy, Manuel returned to the hotel the next day to deliver my glasses, which had been forgotten in the car. Congratulations. I recommend Manuel to everyone!!!

Good tour

The guide was kind and knowledgeable, but I would have preferred for him to explain more at each of the sites. The guide drove us to the sites and briefly explained them but gave us free time but that is not why I purchased a five city tour. I did not hire a transport, but rather a guide to explain the various sites and give us more historical feedback. I was a little disappointed, but I am aware that others liked this kind of tour because that meant they had free time to visit the site and take pictures and as an educator I like to learn about the sites.
