Full description

On this full-day tour, you’ll discover Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire the town which is surrounded by an amazing natural park, a medieval Castle, and beautiful Palaces and Chalets. Take a walk along the medieval streets of Sintra and drive through the national park noticing the rare fauna, the unique trees, the Moorish Castle, Monserrate Palace, and the several chalets along the road. Visit Pena Palace, one of the most impressive architectural expressions of 19th-century Romanticism in the world and one of Portugal’s seven wonders. Say goodbye to Sintra with an optional visit to mystical Quinta da Regaleira, a palace surrounded by luxuriant gardens, lakes, caves, and enigmatic constructions that hide obscure alchemist meanings, evoked by Freemasons, Knights Templars, and Rosicrucians. Continue on to the westernmost point of continental Europe at Roca Cape. Travel along the coast and embrace the Atlantic, stopping in Cascais, once a holiday retreat for the royal family and the European aristocracy. Enjoy all these amazing places from a comfortable seat in a small air-conditioned minivan. Pickup and drop-off at your hotel or apartment in Lisbon make for an even more pleasant experience.

This was truly an ALL DAY tour with a small group of nine people that included our tour guide Andre Feldman. The weather was less than desirable but Andre made the tour fun, had great history to share, stopped at a couples "bonus" locations and was very considerate as to never rush us. Andre is a very passionate tour guide and definitely made it more of a personal experience, cared about the guests as people not numbers. I was a solo traveler and felt very comfortable even though I didn't know anyone else on the tour. It is a small group in a van so if that doesn't appeal to you find a tour that does, you are sitting next to someone as close as you would be on a plane. I would definitely recommend this tour and tour guide, money and time well spent.

Dr Feldman is a character. He’s a bit rough around the edges but a softie inside. The tour inside Peña palace was great and we appreciated all the information. It was a long day with so many wonderful sites to see. It was a lot of fun. Loved Quinta da Regaleira the best! Cascais is beautiful and I would love to come back and stay there for a few nights. I was so lucky to also have a great group! Thank you for a wonderful time!

This tour is so magical! Our tour guide Jose made sure he personalized the tour, even went out of his way to give us a little bit more time in Cascais since we were running behind due to unexpected surge of tourists/locals visiting Cascais that day. He is also so informative, giving us the history of different towns in Portugal. Sintra is a must see!!!!
