Full description

Take a full-day, multi-city tour that brings you to some of Portugal's most popular medieval and 20th-century architectural and religious marvels, beginning in Lisbon and ending in Fátima. Depart from Lisbon by bus at 9:00 and head to Óbidos, the 'wedding present town'. This is the town that King Dinis gave to his bride, Queen Isabel, on their wedding day in 1282.

This romantic village is surrounded by the 45-foot-high walls of a medieval Moorish castle, the famous Pousada do Castelo. Stop for lunch in colorful Nazaré, a traditional Portuguese fishing village. If time permits, head to Sítio to enjoy a beautiful view of the beach and ocean.

Then, kick off the afternoon with a trip to Batalha Monastery, another UNESCO World Heritage Site, with beautiful stained-glass windows and the Manueline-style Royal Cloister. Arrive at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima, a center of Catholic faith and globally recognized pilgrimage destination. Housed in the Basilica are the tombs of Lúcia, Francisco, and Jacinta, peasant children who, despite threats, never denied witnessing the apparition of Mary.

The heart of the shrine is in the Chapel of Apparitions. Schedule permitting, you can attend Mass. Afterwards, you will return to Lisbon on a route that takes you through a rich agricultural region.

This journey is a photoshot of the cultural heritage of three significant places, the medieval town of Óbidos, the magnificent monastic gothic church at Batalha, the basilica at Fátima and the original houses where the visionaries were born and lived. As an added extra, the tour visits the seaside town of Nazaré for a short photo opportunity. The tour achieves all this and includes a recommended optional lunch in Fátima. This tour is a perfect opportunity to explore these places quickly within a day and with the exception of Óbidos where you can get distracted by shopping, ginja and food (all good distractions!), it allows enough time to visit each of the attractions sufficiently to enjoy & appreciate them. The tour, in my case was bilingual but did not detract from the enjoyment or value of it. It is well thought out & as a result comes highly recommended.

To whom it might concern This is the second time I hire your services, first in Granada to visit the Alhambra and now this trip to Fatima. In my opinion you should change the name of the Tour because in reality it is not a Tour to Fatima, it is a tour that ended up in Fatima for only 60mins after 9 hours visiting some other things. My wife is super religious and this was her 50th birthday present, to have a trip to Fatima, and at the end we were a bit disappointed. The visit to the religious store was for only 20mins and then fatima for only 60mins!! I would take away the visit to the monastery of Alcobaca and reduce the lunch time at Nazare, 1:45hrs for lunch??!! I think it was a waste of time that we could spend in Fatima. Everything went perfect dont take my wrong but we definitively bought some else but not a Tour to Fatima. Thanks

It was very good. But I found two problems. First: The courtyard of monastery of batahlas is a must. Better to leave alcobaca and have the necessary time for Batahlas. Second : In Nazaret one should have the option to stay up in the old city. After photos on the beach. It should be specified that joining the Meal meant no time to visit anything. It should be specified in internet the time for Fatima. One hour was too short for me. Save the shopping time that exceeded the half an hour. And give it to the sanctuary. Or bring some people to sanctuary and others to the shop. I was forced to go to the shop!!
