It was a great experience with two competent and pleasant guides. Not only did they make the trip interesting with spot on commentary, they also gave us some good tips which we followed up during the rest of our time in Lisbon, i.e. recommended a splendid local restaurant and the Oceanarium!

Stunning views and a leisurely ride

Best view of the Belem Tower from the Tagus, the Christo Rei and the 25th of April Bridge from below! Nice skipper who caught the cap dropped by mistake by my son! After leaving 10-15 minutes late because the skipper was stuck in traffic, we were able to enjoy an hour of sailing on a tall ship. We were 2 adults and 2 children aged 6 and 8. The skipper settled us in a large comfortable seat in the bow and off we went. So as not to obstruct our view, he preferred not to extend the jib and to sail with the mainsail assisted by the engine, but we couldn't hear the engine. Being at the front of the boat, we had no information about Lisbon or what we were seeing. I guess we could have stayed aft with the skipper, tried to steer a bit and he might have done the tour guide. There it was rather a great family time away from the world.
