At the port, you’ll have some free time for lunch (not included), or for a quick swim or snorkeling (equipment provided) at the beach nearby. There is just 1 restaurant on the Island, but it is of good quality and fresh fish is always available. If you bring a snack with you on the trip, you’ll find the island’s only beach just steps away. Snorkeling here is a good option, as undersea life is abundant and the waters are calm. After lunch, you’ll have a chance to kayak around the island if you like. The island cliffs are full of caves, and you can kayak through them. For the less active, there’s the option of touring the caves in a small glass-bottom boat. Afterwards, you’ll head back the mainland for the return trip to Lisbon.

Miguel was an outstanding guide who is very charismatic and lead a great trip. Absolutely stunning view while kayaking. The water was very calm and the wetsuit/water shoes made swimming very easy. Pretty good visibility while snorkelling and saw some fish/starfish/sea urchins thanks to the guide! The trip was a little longer then expected as Miguel wanted to make sure everyone had an awesome time! The meeting point listed is a little confusing but it was easy to find the guide under the main zoo gates with the flags.

What an amazing experience in these rocky islands that were sort of left behind by the North Atlantic tectonic plate! Diogo was our guide, and he was absolutely the best. This tour is packed with experiences, including a short hike on the island, entrance to the fortress, and an around-the-island boat tour. My favorite part was swimming, snorkeling, and visiting sea caves that are only accessible by swimming. This was such a great value, and I would do it all over again!

Our kayaking experience was the best highlight of our trip to Portugal. Miguel was the best guide. So knowledgeable, fun, and always made us feel safe! He has all the equipment you will need and afterwards we enjoyed a beautiful lunch at a restaurant right on the beach (optional) but it was a perfect ending to a perfect day!

This excursion was my favorite part of Lisbon. Joao is a great guide and explored many of the caves and islands we stopped at. The planning of the food and drinks at different moments was a special experience. Highly recommend this tour.

The Island was beautiful and the guides were amazing. In addition, it is quite cheap everything considered. I would probably do it again when I come to Lisbon.
