The original day we were scheduled to take the tour there was an incident and the tour was canceled. We were given the option to take a different tour that day, reschedule our tour for a different day, or be reimbursed. It. Was rather inconvenientx but we wanted to do the tour so we rescheduled for the next day.

It was a rainy cold day but the cliffs were still magnificent. We opted to spend time in Dover castle to get out of the rain. Really great. Fascinating place. Darren our guide was top notch. Knowledgeable and easy going. Bus driver was amazing- got us out of a tricky spot. Canterbury is a once and done - ok. Beautiful cathedral but kind of hokey shops.

Coach was late to pick us up. Guide spoke too fast. Difficult to catch what he was saying. Guide instructions were not clear particularly regarding the time. No earlier notice was given with regards to the long distance walking from the White Cliff Visitors Centre to the Lighthouse. Plus the route is undulating. The time given to visit the lighthouse and back is bit short. It is better to watch the White Cliffs from the sea than on the land.
