Great experience, and would highly recommend. I was called on the morning of the tour and was told our guide would call 15 mins before the tour starting time. I took the tour guides number just in case we had an issue. I was called exactly on time! Lula, our guide was very friendly and informative. The kids (11 & 13) were engaged and we all saw and learnt something new. I find having a guide is a great way to engage the kids, and also gives a more structured approach when visiting a large museum with so many exhibits.

British Museum with a private guide

I booked this tour for my grandson who is 13+ years old and who is particularly interested with ancient Egypt and ancient Greece. Our guide Natalie was already waiting for us at the agreed meeting point when we turned up at 13h40 for 14h00. She navigated us through the various sections of the British museum - Easter Islands, Aztec and Mayan art, Assyrian, Egyptian, Greek, ancient British, Roman - providing each time (in both English and French - she is of French origin and my grandson is perfectly bilingual) a lot of very interesting information on the sections visited. We truly enjoyed this visit and I would not hesitate to recommend it to other customers. As always, the museum was full of visitors, but Natalie guided us with great ease and speed through the various sections, which was highly helpful.

Melissa was wonderful, providing an interesting & entertaining tour!

We had our 9 year old and 15 year old daughters on the tour with us. Melissa did a great job answering all their questions and making the tour interesting to both of them, while at the same time making sure that the adults also were engaged and learned a lot. I would recommend the tour to anyone with an interest in truly appreciating all the unique items on display at the British Museum.
