Learn amazing stories and quirks of Elizabethan living from your expert guide. The next stop is a visit to Shakespeare’s bride Anne Hathaway’s cottage and gardens. This beautiful little thatched farmhouse is the place where the Bard courted his bride. To this day, the property holds items of original furniture, including the Hathaway bed. It is nestled within stunning grounds and gardens, overflowing with fragrant blooms and traditional shrubs. Then continue to the Cotswolds. Visit what is often agreed to be one of the most beautiful areas in the whole of the UK. With quaint villages and breathtaking scenery, the Cotswolds looks like it jumped off the pages of a storybook. This tour makes photo stops at 2 stunning Cotswolds villages: Bourton-on-the-Water, also known as ‘Little Venice’ due to its low bridges and stone banks, and Burbury, a town once described by William Morris as ‘the most beautiful village in England. After a wonderful day of sightseeing, arrive back to London at the approximate time of 7:15pm’ to ‘7:30pm.

Beautiful easy paced day trip from London. All of the sights visited were worth seeing. The Cotswold towns were gorgeous and we had sufficient time to wander around on our own to enjoy both towns we stopped in. The guide was generous pointing out a number of sights in other towns as we drove through. He was also very knowledgeable about the area and Shakespeare. The Shakespeare part of the day was excellent. Enjoyed the school house very much as well as Anne's cottage. Unfortunately we were not told in advance that we were not returning to the same location as our pickup so needed to make last minute arrangements. I would recommend this day trip to anyone interested in seeing the Cotswold and visiting Stratford upon Avon.

Very long day with over half sitting in a bus, but sights were very lovely. It was a rainy day that "dampened" the experience, but that of course was not the fault of the tour company. The local guide at Anne Hathaway's house took us through it at the speed of light so we saw very little of that cottage. Tour of Shakespeare's birthplace was at a much better pace. Highlight of tour was the school Shakespeare attended - don't miss the portrayal of his wise headmaster. Our guide and driver were both excellent. I recommend this tour as long as you realize you will spend hours riding in a bus for about the same number of hours seeing anything meaningful.

This was a fun trip. Ari was a wonderful guide and our driver was also great! The Cotswolds are beautiful and we enjoyed seeing Anne Hathaways cottage, the Shakespeare Museum, Shakespeare’s birthplace, and school. We also enjoyed just wandering about Stratford-upon-Avon and admiring the old buildings and statues. We did three motor coach tours outside of London, and I think this was my favorite.
