Full description
Itinerary starts from Temple station which gives the name to the famous church located in this area which was once dominated by the Knights Templar as their English headquarters, now main legal districts of the capital and a notable center for English law. Walking through this little street, squares and historical buildings you will find out one of the secret and fascinating aspect of London.  Pop out in Fleet Street, the main newspaper road in '80, takes shape the impressive building of the Royal Court of Justice, a large grey stone edifice in the Victorian Gothic style opened by Queen Victoria in 1882. The court is opened to public so after a short security check you can have a visit inside. Before doing that, you'll stop in Twinings Shop. The famous tea brand occupies the same premises on the Strand since 1706. The firm's logo, created in 1787, is the world's oldest in continuous use! Here you can buy tea but also sometimes have a taste which is something very characteristic! A short bus trip on a double-decker bus, bring us to St Paul's Cathedral, mother church of the Diocese of London. Dating from the late 17th century, it was designed by Sir Christopher Wren in the English Baroque style . The building was part of a major rebuilding program in the City after the Great Fire of London (1666). Behind the church you  will walk across Paternoster Square, location of the London Stock Exchange, Postman's Park where there's a memorial to local heroes and you'll arrive at Museum of London.  Museum of London, created in the 1960s and 1970s, documents the history of London from prehistoric to modern times so it would be useful to make a chronological visit and recap of the history of this city which you never finish to know.
