All in all a very nice trip to rural Great Britain - charming villages and towns were visited. Unfortunately, there was only little time available everywhere (the longest was 1.5 hours, the admissions, provided that the bookings already run out of time). We had booked without admission and it was the right decision and: an hour for a lock is far too little and would not have been fun. Stratford upon Avon as a town itself is, in my opinion, more interesting than just Shakespeare's birthplace. Our guide Monica was super-sweet and told interesting stories and anecdotes, even in London even on the way home to shorten our time on the bus. I call that committed! It is a shame that you drive to the places for so long, that is of course missing when you actually visit the places. In my opinion, the castle could be left out entirely and more time in Stratford and Oxford could be planned.

Great sites, comfy bus, too little time

The audio equipment with the earphone was quite helpful for hearing the guide. The guide used excellent judgment regarding the weather, having us shop indoors until the rain stopped. He made sure everyone knew their way back to their hotels. It really wasn’t enough time in Stratford-upon-Avon. All the other tour companies do the same tour, though.

A bit of everything!

The tour is well organized and our guide Rowan and our bus driver Alan were very nice and fun! We learned a lot on the way. You could understand English well and if not everyone would be so nice that you still got along well. Since there are 3 major attractions quite far away from London, you usually only have 1.5 to 2 hours to look each other. This is enough to get a rough general assessment and to assess whether one of these places likes. If you want to take a closer look at one of these places you have to go there again separately - but that's clear to everyone, I hope. In any case, all 3 places are very worth seeing and recommended! You are also not forced to stay with the group, you can go on an exploration tour yourself, you just have to be back at the meeting point. :)
