What people are saying about Loreto, Peru

Pros: - Nelson was a very friendly and approachable guide. We had great fun with him. On the way to the individual stations he was able to tell us a lot about the region and the jungle (in English and Spanish). - We were lucky to be the only guests on the tour so the price was good for a "private tour". Additional costs for entrance fees were 40 soles per person. - Due to the very humid climate, the length of 6 hours is ideal. So we were free to organize the second half of the day for ourselves. Criticism: The last station (the anaconda's cage) is very sad to watch. It is a kind of zoo in which various jungle animals, including anaconda, are on display and you can "play" with them. The entry of 20 soles should be omitted or an alternative should be offered and not supported in this way of dealing. Saludos, Elias & Jasmin de Alemania

Had a wonderful trip. It was not a luxury resort but very clean and food was wholesome. We were kept busy through out the day with activities. Electricity was only for three hours in the evening- just about enough time to get our phones charged. The staff and guides were very helpful - though the language was a bit of a problem. However it was an adventurous trip and I thoughrly enjoyed myself

Being that we were in the Amazon Jungle accommodations were great. Guide was knowledgeable & always helpful. I am not a picky eater so, I thought the food was great & plentiful. It was truly an unforgettable adventure. The tribes, monkey island, butterfly garden and getting to meet the locals was a wonderful experience + we did get a glimpse of dolphins…. Come prepared and you shall be fine!

Was a great day in the jungle with our guide Nelson. The highlights for me were the drive on the Amazon, the jungle hike and the viewpoints. On the recommendation of our guide Nelson, we went to the floating restaurant. In total we were on the road for almost 8 hours. Criticism: In my opinion, all entries could be included at this price.

I had a great time! My guide was wonderful and fun. I loved seeing all the villages and animals. As a solo female traveler I highly recommend.
