Pisa and Lucca: Private Full-Day Tour by Deluxe Van

1. Pisa and Lucca: Private Full-Day Tour by Deluxe Van

Join us on a full-day private tour of Lucca and Pisa. Your driver/guide will pick you up at your hotel in Florence and you’ll travel in our comfortable deluxe van to the western part of Tuscany, near the coast. Your first stop will be in ancient Lucca, one of the few cities in Italy where you’ll find rinascimental city walls. You’ll enjoy a leisurely walk through the city’s narrow medieval streets, and possibly visit the cathedral and the Roman ruins. We’ll visit Amphitheater Square, where you can take in the 360-degree views while enjoying a glass of wine. The Square is home to Andrea Salvetti’s sculpture "Mazzolin di Fiori". Opera lovers will also have the opportunity to visit Puccini's birthplace museum. During the day you’ll have time to stop at typical Tuscan restaurant to try some of the delicious local cuisine. We'll spend the afternoon in world-famous city of Pisa. The city’s “Miracle Square” is the location of some of the finest examples of Italian Romanesque architecture. You’ll see the famous leaning tower of Pisa, the immense Baptistry of St. John and the Cathedral of Pisa. The construction of the Cathedral began in 1063 and was completed in 1350. It is considered a masterpiece of Romanesque architecture.

The trip will continue to Lucca, where a guide will take you on a delightful walk in the city center where you can admire Piazza Anfiteatro, the Torre Guinigi, the Cathedral of San Martino and the typical "via degli antiquari". The visit will end in a pastry shop where we will taste the Buccellato, a typical cake of Lucca.

Very interesting and personal tour. The sketches (reason for the booking) were not needed at all, it was that exciting. The TG made the children curious with many questions, so that they absorbed the explanations in an exciting way. Was also interesting and instructive for us parents. And thanks for the crumbled focchaggi. This tour will be remembered for a long time. Many many thanks.

We met up with our guide, Anna - she was an amazing stortteller, and gave us a great tour around the center of Lucca. We had a 4 year Old girl with us, and she was totally focused. The idea with the notebook is really good, but it could have been even better if there also was notebooks for the ‘grown ups’.

Highly recommend! Our kids (8 and 5) were absolutely engaged the whole time. Our guide Lucia, who was born in Lucca had little activities for them to do before each sight along the way and present the tour to interest and engage the children. They LOVED it!

Great private guided tour of Lucca where everyone is catered for. All questions were patiently answered. Even the little one liked it.

Absolutely fantastic tour. Kids loved the lady, Anna. She was so knowledgeable and had a really great way with the kids
