First, travel through the former British sector along Berlin’s Champs-Élysées - Kurfürstendamm - past the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church and the KaDeWe, the largest department store in continental Europe. Then, continue east past the impressive parliament building, the Reichstag. At the iconic Brandenburg Gate, get off the bus to stroll through the historic arch and admire the sprawling Tiergarten. See the capital’s majestic Victory Column and a memorial to soviet soldiers. Then, take a moment to reflect at the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. After some free time for lunch, journey to the spectacular Gendarmenmarkt and Berlin’s historic former Royal Quarter: the beautiful boulevard of Unter den Linden, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Museum Island, and the Berlin Cathedral. Then, discover Alexanderplatz with its iconic TV Tower. Continue south to the city’s Mitte district and visit  Checkpoint Charlie – the most famous crossing point between East and West Berlin during the Cold War. Afterwards, pass through Potsdamer Platz on your way to one of the few remaining pieces of the Berlin Wall. Finish your tour with a poignant visit to the former site of the headquarters of the SS and Gestapo, today known as the Topography of Terror. A very interesting and informative tour. A great way to explore the city in the coolest transport! Lots of smiles and waves from pedestrians. It was nice having a small group and the opportunity to ask questions and learn about the history of Berlin. The VW Bus was great.

Great fun!! Our guide was really knowledgable, super friendly and very entertaining. I would highly recommend this excursion. It’s a great way to see areas you’d easily miss and very good value for money.
