From Jerusalem: Petra 2-Day Tour w/ Meals

1. From Jerusalem: Petra 2-Day Tour w/ Meals

Our two fully-packed days begin in Jerusalem, as we head toward the Jordanian border. We cross at the King Hussein / Allenby border, and enter Jordan, driving through the Judean desert for about an hour. We continue towards Madaba, an ancient jordanian city, and go up to the viewpoint of Mount Nebo. Then we will have lunch. From here we will go to a Bedouin camp near Petra where you will enjoy Bedouin hospitality, including an Arab-style dinner and a comfortable bed for the night. Before going to sleep, sit beneath the clear desert skies and stargaze, as you drink a cup of delicious Bedouin tea.. On the second day we will tour Petra. One of the seven wonders of the world, and Jordan’s most treasured attraction, Petra is an unforgettable place. It was carved into the red rocks of the soaring cliffs in the early 1st century as the tomb of a Nabataean king, and was hidden under sand for centuries before recently becoming accessible again. We will enter through the Siq, a narrow gorge, and tour the Treasury and Amphitheater with our guide who will explain the sites and history as you marvel at the beauty of each structure. Then you will have free time to continue individually as you wish: climb to the Royal Tombs, walk down the Roman Cardo, hike up to the Monastery, and explore the different sites. We will meet up for lunch in Wadi Musa before returning back to Jerusalem via the Allenby border crossing. This fully guided tour, including full transportation and comprehensive information, can be further enhanced by using our travel app for smartphones and tablets. The app provides you with maps, information and pictures, can be downloaded for free on our site before you embark on the trip so it will not require an internet connection. You can also explore the sites on your own, without the guide, if you prefer to do so. For more information on the sites we’ll be passing, download our free travel app to your smartphone.

From Amman/Dead Sea: Half day tour to Ma’in Hot Springs

2. From Amman/Dead Sea: Half day tour to Ma’in Hot Springs

This full-day tour takes you to the hot springs of Hammamat Ma’in, located 58 km from Amman and 37 km from Madaba/Dead Sea. Simply relax and enjoy the healing qualities of the mineral-rich waters. The springs originate from the winter rainfall on Jordan's highland plains. As the water makes its way through the Wadi Zarqa Ma'in valley, underground lava fissures help heat it up – temperatures range from 104 to 145 degrees Fahrenheit. The water is also infused with skin-healing minerals, such as hydrogen sulfide, potassium, magnesium, and calcium. You will have the possibility to enjoy the mineral-rich hot thermal waters and relax within them. The waters are known to treat skin diseases, diseases of the circulatory system, and pains in the bones, joints, and back. It's also the location of Herod the Great was said to have bathed in its medicinal water, and where people have come for thermal treatments, or simply to enjoy a hot soak, since the days of Rome.

I am really impressed in general of Jordan, when you see pictures of Petra you do not imagine the greatness of that place. They took very good care of us from the moment we arrived at the meeting point, they transferred us to the Alenmy border, which is slow. They received us at the end of the migration process in Israel and took us to the Jordanian side to pass migration and it is easy and fast. The guide Majmud knows how to do his job, we made two very interesting visits and we traveled to reach the Bedouin camp, the place is very nice, clean and tidy, they take good care of you and the food is very good, the bathrooms are common but they are kept clean . The return is a bit long but it is worth the experience.

Informative guide and good food. Accomodation was simple but clean. The separate bathroom/shower area was also clean. Petra was amazing but the 4.5 hours there was a bit too short for me. There is so much to see that 6-8 hours at the site or even better, 2 separate days at the site would be even better. Also Abraham tours was a bit disorganized on our return to Israel and we had to wait about an hour at the border for them to get an additional bus to us as their original plan of combining two tours didn't quite work out. Having said that they did rectify the situation pretty quickly.

Wonderful experience, the guide abdullah (I hope you write it like this) was very helpful and clear. The camp was tidy and clean, everyone very nice and helpful! Then petra is amazing. I recommend reaching the monastery once you arrive in petra, it is an hour long and tiring walk especially for the heat but once you arrive, it is the most beautiful place in the world. Highly recommended. Ps if you prepare all the documents required by abraham tours by mail, the passage of customs and the return are not so complicated ..

The trip was really awesome. I write a review every decade, but I have to write one for this one. Guide, accommodation, bus, bus driver, organization - all simply five stars. If you are considering booking the tour, then do it and book! Small tips: 1) Don't just exchange your money so that you have exactly 50 Jordanian dollars for the trip, but make sure that you have around 150-200 JD. You will need them. 2) Definitely go to the monastery - whether by donkey, horse or on foot - go there.

Sehr gut organisiert. Alles hat reibungslos geklappt. Die Übernachtung im Beduinencamp ist ein einmaliges Erlebnis.
