The western side of the waterfall is owned by Vietnam, while the eastern side is claimed by China. As a result, indigenous ethnic communities in the Ban Gioc Waterfall area contribute a great range of cultural traditions. Day 1: Hanoi – Dong Khe - Nguom Ngao cave (Meal: L, D) 6:30 – 7:00: Pick up from the hotel in the Ha Noi Old Quarter. 7:15: Depart to Ban Gioc Waterfall – one of the four waterfalls located between 2 countries, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world. 11:00: Arrive in Đong Khe town - It was the site of the First Indochina War. 12:45 -13:00 You will have lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, continue the journey to Nguom Ngao Cave (Tiger Cave). And then get back on the bus and keep journeying to the hotel near Ban Gioc waterfall - Cao Bang province 16:30: Check-in the hotel and relax. 18:30: Have dinner at the hotel. Overnight in the hotel. Day 2: Ban Gioc Waterfall – Mat Than Mountain – Hanoi (Meal: B, L) 7:00: Have breakfast and check-out the hotel. 7:45: The driver and guide pick you up from the hotel to visit Ban Gioc Waterfall (one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world). 11:00: Come back to the bus to visit Mat Than Mountain (Thung Mountain, which is located in Quang Uyen District). . 13:00: Have lunch at local restaurant in Quang Uyen District, Cao Bang. After lunch, you will get on the bus to come back to Hanoi. 19:00: Arrive in Hanoi.

We will pick you up at your hotel to travel to Mai Chau located in Hoa Binh Province, approximately 135 kilometers from Ha Noi. We will zigzag along Cun Slope 12 kilometers through Cao Phong District to the Mai Chau Valley. From the top of Cun Mountain, you can admire the superb panoramic view of Mai Chau surrounded by its green valleys and stilt houses. Come to Lac hamlet which is over 700 years old. Many local people live in Mai Chau. They live on growing rice and brocade weaving from many generations. This area is deemed as a gift to those who love peace, quietness. Besides, on the way to Mai Chau, you can contemplate Thung Khe Pass, which is 1,000 meters above the sea level. Enjoy a traditional lunch and have a taste of the country’s finest rice wine with a local family. Afterward, we will take a bicycle trip around the village to see farmers working on the fields and the locals weaving scarves. We will also visit the peaceful surrounding villages to experience the rustic life of the indigenous mountain people before returning to Ha Noi.

Day 1: Start your adventure with pickup in a private vehicle from your hotel in the Old Quarter or designated meeting point. Set off to Mai Chau and stop on the way at Thung Khe mountain pass to see the impressive scenery of the North-West. Explore Lac Village and then stop for a local lunch at 12 PM. Taste and learn about authentic Vietnamese cuisine. In the afternoon, your tour guide will take you to visit the valley of Mai Chau. Get to know the locals and learn about Tai Dón culture. See how they craft unique brocades by hand. Head off to Moc Chau, with its immense fields of tea and an infinite variety of wildflowers. Check in to your accommodation and dig into a dinner of local specialties. Enjoy your free time and before turning in for the night in your homestay or bungalow. Day 2: Wake up to the beautiful morning with the sound of nature. Fill up on breakfast and start with a visit to the Dai Yem Waterfall and the Dong Son Moc Huong Cave (Doi Cave). Admire the cave’s beauty and listen to the legends described by your tour guide. Continue to the next beauty spot, the pine forest of Ang Village. Explore the surrounding nature including a lake, rolling hills of wildflowers, and fruit tree orchards. Use your free time after lunch in Moc Chau to go biking along hilly trails or investigate the town center. You can also join the locals in picking tea leaves. Additional optional activities include baths in fresh milk and fresh tea. Dine on local dishes at 6:30 PM and stay overnight in your homestay or bungalow. Day 3: Feeling recharged after breakfast, start your journey through the valleys, forests, and mountains to arrive in the villages of the H’Mong ethnic minority. Discover the local ways of life, their traditions, and sample the local food. Check out after lunch and take the bus back to Hanoi. Arrive back in Hanoi around 5.30 pm and get dropped off at the meeting place or your hotel in the Old Quarter.

Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau – Pong Cong Village (lunch, dinner) Take a drive west toward Mai Chau with one stop in Hoa Binh City for refreshments and coffee. Continue driving toward Mai Chau valley for about another 1.5 hours, stopping on the way to take in the spectacular scenery. Your hosts for this evening will be the White Thai minority people and you will stay in one of their traditional stilt houses. There, you will be toasted as honored guests and will be able to sample some of their homemade rice wine. By sampling these local people's hospitality, discover a little more about their lives and culture following the evening meal. Tonight's accommodation will probably be a little more rustic than your usual accommodations at home, but it's all part of the experience. Day 2: Pong Cong Village – Khoe Village – Lac Village – Hanoi (breakfast/lunch) Following breakfast, take a soft trek in this beautiful valley, going from one village to another and have a chance to meet local villagers going about their daily business, such as tilling the fields, logging or herding buffalo. Your driver will meet you at Khoe Village for transfer back to Lac Village for lunch. Afterwards, stroll around the hamlets, before returning to Hanoi. 

Between 7:45 AM and 8:00 AM you will be picked up by minibus from your hotel in the Hanoi Old Quarter and depart to Mai Chau in Hoa Binh Province. At 10:00 AM, take a short break at the Hoa Binh hydroelectric power station to relax and take some photos. From 11:30 AM to 12:00 AM there will be time for a quick photo stop at the top of Mai Chau Valley before you continue to drive to Mai Chau Village. Enjoy a Vietnamese lunch at a local house (vegetarian options are available). Between 1:00-3:00 PM, you'll get to go on a bicycle ride with a local tour guide. See Vietnamese farmers working in the fields and locals weaving scarves as you visit the surrounding villages. At 4:00 PM you'll leave Mai Chau Village and come back to Hanoi, arriving at your hotel around 7:00 PM. 

The distance between Hanoi and Mai Chau is 145 kilometers, and the journey takes around 3 hours and 30 minutes. A day journey from Hanoi to Mai Chau by automobile is highly flexible and comfortable since you may stop along the way to take photographs, admire the gorgeous scenery, sip coffee, or have lunch.
