Full description

Travel through the history, culture, and cuisine of Mallorca on this tour, accompanied by a local guide. After getting picked up from your hotel, begin your journey along the Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Your first stop will be the Hermitage of Valldemossa, a fascinating chapel where you can admire panoramic views of the area. Enjoy a short 10-minute walk to reach the chapel and be rewarded for your efforts with a sample of freshly-baked ensaimada, a traditional Mallorcan desert.

Then, leave Valldemossa behind and head to the Miramar Monastery, a monastery that was converted into a summer house for Archduke Luis Salvador and his illustrious guests.

First, visit the old mill, before continuing to the Archduke's living residence. Here, admire extravagant interiors and discover legends of the impressive Byzantine Gardens as you admire the views of the sea.

Finish your tour of the monastery with a sample of Quelitas crackers with cheese, a daily delicacy for most Mallorcans.

Finally, head to the Sóller Olive Oil Mill, located in a traditional Mallorcan house. Enjoy a private tour of the premises from one of the owners, and learn about the family business and the olive oil production process, as well as orange harvesting.

End the day with a traditional Mallorcan lunch of "pa amb oli", including local rustic bread, tomatoes, olives, cheese, ham, and olive oil. For dessert, enjoy a Gató, a typical almond cake from the island.

Sip on wine, water, and delicious freshly squeezed orange juice as you savor your lunch before heading back to your hotel.

The tour was wonderful. We were very lucky to have the magical Birgit all to ourselves. She picked us up on time and showed us great places, even beyond the usual tourist sights. At the same time we learned a lot about Mallorcan families and - thanks to the delicious samples - eating habits. Tip for visiting the olive oil press: the almonds are a dream. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and a tour and guide I highly recommend.

Had a very nice day in the Serra de Tramuntana! We certainly wouldn't have wanted to miss the green mountainous landscape and the beautiful views. Our guide Birgit showed us some special places in this area. We really enjoyed the passion with which she told the stories about the area and the island! Definitely recommended!

We had a lovely day. Birgit is a living and knowledgeable guide who generously hands out. We came from the north and it was easy to arrange a collection point. Good communication all the time. Very nice little places, without many other guests (end. May). Nice that it is small groups. We can highly recommend this trip. (Women aged 56 and 79)
