10. From Kathmandu: Mardi Himal Trek

Join your guide on the lesser-known Mardi Himal trek and take in the sweeping views of some of Nepal's most beautiful mountain ranges. Opened in 2012, this trek offers beautiful views with rough and rugged trails and fewer crowds. Start your adventure with pickup from Kathmandu and head to Pokhara and onward to Phedi. Hit the trails in Phedi and take the scenic trail via the villages of Dhampus and Deurali, along with other small villages. Traverse lush forests, rural villages, terraced farmland, and roaring rivers. Experience the Gurung and Magar traditions and cultures in the villages. Trek through rhododendron forests with views of the Hiuchuli, Macchapuchre, and Dhaulagiri Peaks. Reach the high camp of Mardi Himal at 2 miles (3540 meters) above sea level. From there, descend to the villages of Sidhing and Lumre and then drive back to Pokhara and then on to Kathmandu.

The trek to the base camp was a magnificent experience, 100% recommended. Each of the stages is worth it, the ascent was very progressive and well planned by our guides so we did not have any incidents or discomfort at any time. Our incredible guide and porter, the treatment was very close, we consider them friends. They told us stories about Nepal and solved any curiosity we might have. We will certainly repeat!

Great trip - have only words of praise!

From Andreas and Camilla: We have a fan-fucking-tastic trip! Well organized, flexible, lots for the sake of our wishes, a wonderful guide and a porter who we had a lot of fun with. In addition, they taught us a lot about nature, the mountains, the locals and culture. The best recommendations from here!

It was great, not for the faint of heart, but the guys know their stuff, although it's quite rustic at times. We would do it again.

Great experience!!! What an incredible view! The guides were really attentive and available. Super professional agency! I recommend!
