What people are saying about Manaus

This is DEFINITELY the highlight so far of my South America trip. After 8 weeks of very fast-paced, city-based activities, so it was VERY welcome to have some chill-out time on the water. The gentle pace of the boat travel was just SO peaceful. We got close up and personal with Alligators and Pink Dolphins. Incredible! And even though there were three of us fishing for piranha, I was the only one to catch one! And the boat's chef cooked it up perfectly for lunch! That brings me to the crew! All the meals were simple, tasty and FAB! Ship's Captain & Assistant just SO professional. My Guide had all the info I asked for and did some Karaoke too! They were all just SO friendly and knew exactly when to ask me what I would like to do, and also when to just give me space and time to relax. If you want a great mix of Nature and learning about Culture - this is it! Meeting locals and seeing traditional dance & music on the final day was SO special. Make this tour a priority.

Excellent tour. I learned a lot of things with my guide, Jungle James, who is great at transmitting his passion about the Amazonian forest and lifestyle and truly has eagle eyes. The lodge was very nice and simple, with comfortable beds and private bathrooms. The guest family who built the lodge is also very welcoming. I had an amazing time and really recommend anyone who enjoys walking in the forest and animal spotting to do this tour. One note though: the Amazonian forest is incredibly full of life and diversity, but this side is not teeming with jaguars and other dangerous animals: this tour is not a safari. You have to enjoy silently walking in the forest and seeing animals from a distance. I saw many monkeys, sloths, caymans and others and it was incredible to me. But be aware that this requires a certain amount of patience.

This tour is amazing and absolutely worth booking! It is adventurous for sure but there still is comfort, the lodge is cozy and the food is great! Also it is a good mix of activities and time to rest and enjoy nature. The overall atmosphere in the amazon rainforest area is just overwhelmingly beautiful and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our guide James was the best, he knows a lot about the nature and explains and shows many different plants, animals and more…. We did boat trips for bird and dolphin watching, piranha fishing and kaiman spotting but also two hikes to two different types of forests… The highlight for everyone was the night in the jungle, so make sure to book this! No need to be afraid, we felt safe and happy the whole time!

This cruise and tour was awesome. It was a perfect balance between relaxing and activities. The guide and crew were fantastic. The food was really good and plentiful. I especially loved swimming with the pink river dolphins, visiting the indigenous village, and the jungle trek with the elder. It was low season in the Amazon when I went, so the tour was pretty much private, giving me free range of the boat and full attention from the guide. I loved this experience so much. Memories for life.

The guide and the crew were all skilled and experienced
