The region you will explore includes the southern region of the Medoc wine area. You will visit 2 wine estates of Classified Growth or Cru Bourgeois estates that has been carefully selected for their exceptional setting and quality of wine. Learn all there is to know about the history of the estate, the wine making process, as well as the techniques used during wine making. A wine tasting session follows the visits. After your tasting session, follow the castle road to see some of the most famous chateaus of the region, such as Chateau Margaux or Chateau Palmer.

Begin your tour and learn the history of local winemaking. Discover the terroir's characteristics and visit its traditional vat room. End with a commented tasting featuring AOC Bordeaux Supérieur, AOC Margaux, and AOC Saint-Emilion Grand Cru. Stop at the winery boutique if you wish to purchase a bottle with the help of your guide. Afterward, you will have the chance to taste 3 wines in the barrel from the most representative grapes of Bordeaux: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. The Medoc area covers approximately 5,700 hectares of declared vineyards, producing an average 300,000 hectoliters of wine per year. Of the grape varieties permitted, 50% of the viticultural area is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and to a lesser extent Petit Verdot and Malbec. Also allowed within the AOC regulations are the varieties Cabernet Franc and Carménère. After your tasting sessions, follow the castle road to see some of the most famous châteaux of the region, such as Chateau Margaux, Chateau Palmer, or Chateau Pichon Longueville.
