A car-free island in the Marmara Sea

For a longer stay in Istanbul, a boat trip to the Prince Islands is recommended. You can get out of the hustle and bustle of the big city for a few hours. Because I was the only guest here (still in winter season), I was able to benefit particularly from the knowledge of the travel guide. During the trip he told "everything" about the Bosporus, the Sea of Marmara, his city and the Prince's Island. Büyükada was visited. There are no cars here, but horse-drawn cabs, very romantic. On a walk you can see churches, mosques and synagogues, signs of a time when religions harmonized well with one another. The visit to St. George's Church on the highest point of the island after a walk was particularly impressive. The icons there and the depiction of St. George as a dragon slayer are worth seeing.

We were picked up at the hotel, walked around the Spice Market before getting on the ferry to the smaller island. We walked around, drank some tea and then took the ferry to the large island. We rode an electric golf cart on a tour of the island, and ate fish by the seaside. There was nice shopping and we enjoyed some delicious ice cream and coffee before getting on the ferry back to the city. A van drove us back to the hotel. Sulaiman was an excellent tour guide and companion for the trip.

Very well run 2 day tour with Crowded House in Eceabat/Cannakkale. Tour guides had excellent English and knowledge of the areas, and we can highly recommend our small boat trip into Anzac Cove, we had a great afternoon with our driver and skippers, lovely people.. Overnight hotel in Cannakkale was also excellent. Loved it all.

They picked me up as promised. Organized and enlightening.

Nice to have seen think spring is even more beautiful
