Marmaris: Turkish Bath Experience

1. Marmaris: Turkish Bath Experience

Enter the calm relaxing atmosphere of the hammam, the traditional domed Turkish bathhouse. Relax in the sauna and allow your pores to open. Feel the deep calm that comes while reclining in the dry heat of an authentic Turkish bath.  After your pores have opened and you’ve begun to sweat, you’ll be treated to a full body scrub, which will allow your skin to exfoliate. Lay down and receive a foam massage. Your personal masseuse will work hard relieving the tension in your muscles while simultaneously rejuvenating your skin. Finish your Turkish bath experience feeling fresh, renewed, and invigorated. This treatment is recommended at the start of your trip, in order to remedy the stress of air travel, but before spending too much time in the tropical Turkish sun.

From Marmaris: Day Trip to Dalyan with Lunch

3. From Marmaris: Day Trip to Dalyan with Lunch

Be collected from your accommodation in Marmaris at 8:30 AM and travel 45 minutes to Koycegiz. When you arrive, board your riverboat and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of Koycegiz Lake. Visit the thermal springs and mud baths, which provide secret health benefits. The waters are rich in blue-hydrogen and radon, which relieve joint pain and aid the musculoskeletal system. In the vicinity of the village of Dalyan, there are 12 springs with different chemical compositions of water. Continue your tour and sail through the narrow ducts of the river. See rock tombs built between the 5th and 4th centuries BC during the oligarchy of the ancient city of Kaunos. They are the best examples of Lycian graves in the territory of Turkey. Return to your boat and be served a mouth-watering meal. The final stop will be at Turtle Beach. The unique sandy Iztuzu beach is where Caretta-Caretta turtles lay their eggs. The beach is a natural reserve and is under state protection but you can swim in the freshwater lake beside the beach. If you are lucky, you will see turtles on the beach. In the evening, from May to October, the beach is closed. Be dropped off at your accommodation around 7:30 PM.

With this 2-hour visit to the Marmaris Haman you can experience the pleasures of a Turkish bath. It is distinguished by a focus on water instead of on ambient steam. In Western Europe, the "Turkish bath" became popular during the Victorian era as a method of cleansing and relaxation. The process involved in taking a Turkish bath is similar to that of a sauna but is more closely related to ancient Greek and ancient Roman bathing practices. The history of Hamam extends far back but it is still as prevalent as ever. It has never been a place just to cleanse the skin – its special atmosphere provides a worthwhile experience.

Was a great day trip. The service was nice and not pushy. The music on the ship wasn't disturbing either. Since the season was almost over, the ship was not as full. It was very pleasant. Unfortunately, there wasn't much time for swimming on the turtle beach. The children enjoyed the mud bathing a lot.

Great Value for Price

We had just the basic package, you can upgrade for £10 for 1 extra treatment or £20 for 3. Picked up on time and dropped back after Bargain

Left the turkish baths very refreshed the massage was a bit rough for me but thats how you get the best experience

Great price-performance ratio. Was a little skeptical at first, but is really recommended.

Stunning little spa, so content, amazing treatments, would go again.
