Excellent organisation - our driver collected us at 07.30 and then we went on to another 4 pickups before dropping us to the coach which drove us to ouzoud - take water, it’s a long way. There’s a toilet stop half way - take some coins and loo roll. The tour around ouzoud falls was fabulous and guide (Mohammed) was very entertaining - I lost count of the language’s he spoke. The walk is not long but quite steep with hundreds of steps but is not too arduous and plenty of rest stops. Views are incredible and the falls and boat trip very entertaining! You may not be able to swim, but I guarantee you will get wet if you sit up front on the boats. It’s not a bad idea to feed the monkeys with the nuts you buy there, but they are wild and unpredictable. The food in the restaurant was quite basic (veg tagine or chicken skewer) but it is quick and cheap, there are other restaurants higher up but it’s quite difficult to extract yourself to go elsewhere and I’m not sure if they are any better!

The drive is approx 3hrs, leaving at 8am in a coach. Arriving at Ouzoud you do a 5km walk around the area seeing the waterfalls from many viewpoints and stopping often. Some more info on the area, waterfall, village people etc from the guide would have been good. The boat to take you close to the waterfalls is a fun experience. After you are taken to a restaurant for food, it was 110dirham and was an excellent tagine - usually the lunch places aren't good but this was great. We arrived back before 6pm.

We had a lovely day. We were picked up at our hotel on time in a minibus and taken to a larger coach. There was one stop on the way to the waterfalls for about 15 minutes. Our guide at the falls was excellent and the little boats were great fun. It is quite a steep walk down and then steps back up but nothing too bad. The monkeys were very cheeky but watch out for the ones at the top as they can jump onto you. Lunch was overlooking the falls and was really good. 3 courses for 115 dirums each. There was another quick stop on the way back to our hotel and we got back at about 6.30. It was really good value for money and I would recommend it. We chose the option with the guide and lunch included.
