Although this trip wasn’t exactly what I was after, it was still a really enjoyable experience. I was specifically looking for a trip that didn’t include things like a stop at an argon oil cooperative and wouldn’t be too full of touristy stops, but these seemed quite hard to find. I thought this would be more of a day-hike but it ended up being a meander up to a Berber village from Imlil and a stop at a family home for lunch. It was lovely, but I was really hoping for a bit more elevation and less stopping (despite it being a welcome relief from the sun and heat at times!)

I cannot recommend this tour highly enough! We had an incredible day with Ibrahim, the best day of our entire trip to Marrakech! Ibrahim was a great guide who provided us with a wealth of information about local customs and culture of the Berber people. We were honoured to be so welcomed by the local people in Ibrahim’s village, where we had mint tea and snacks on the veranda of their house with incredible views of the Atlas Mountains. We hiked through local villages, through the mountains and to a waterfall. Ibrahim also took us to a very authentic and local market in the mountains which was such an amazing experience and one that we would never have done on our own. We also had lunch in a local family’s house which, without exaggeration, was the best food we had the whole time we were in Marrakech. We couldn’t get over the hospitality and kindness shown to us by the local people. We had a truly authentic experience which will stay with us forever. Thank you so much, Ibrahim.

We had a wonderful day walking through the Atlas mountains with our guide. He was very friendly and professional. We started with a walk to his village, had tea at his mother's house (who was also lovely) and then set off on our walk up the mountains, often stepping up large rock stairs and hills, so it does take some walking! After the walk we stopped at a house and had a private lunch of tagine with a view over the snow toppled Atlas mountains. I would highly recommend this tour. Well worth it.
