Full description

Depart Medellin early in the morning. Enjoy a scenic drive to the Piedra del Peñol. You’ll have 1.5 hours to climb the 742 steps to the top of the historic rock and return to the base. If you do not want to climb to the top, there is plenty to do at the base, with many shops selling local artisanal goods and many cafés as well. Enjoy a traditional lunch at the Piedra del Peñol or along the boardwalk in Guatapé. Take a guided tour of Guatapé, and then board a boat for a cruise on the Guatapé Reservoir. You will then start the return journey back to Medellin.

The tour included many amazing points of interest. Sandy, Sandra and Luis were the perfect tour guides. Si visitas a Medellin no dejes de escaparte por un día para un Tour a Guatape. Recorrido por carretera agrícola con vistas muy bonitas. Vala la pena subir los 740 escalones de la piedra. Vista panorámica espectacular. La hospitalidad de y conocimiento de la histaria del pueblo excelentes por parte de la guia Elizabeth.

We did the tour with Sandy and Elizabeth, who were well organized and very friendly with the guests. Sandy was an excellent tour guide, speaking facts that were interesting but not overbearing, his delivery was great, and he was great to listen to. We went to Peñol, had lunch, went on a boat, and went to Guatapé. 10/10 would recommend this tour!
