    Join a day trip from Melbourne to Phillip Island to see the delightful penguin parade and the best of Victoria’s nature and wildlife. During the day you will get up-close-and-personal with the friendly residents of the Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park, where you can hand feed kangaroos and wallabies, have your photo taken with a koala and learn about the conservation of these loveable native animals. The eco certified sanctuary also showcases some lesser known but equally adorable endangered species, including the Southern Bettong, Eastern Quolls and rare Fluffy Gliders. Visit the stunning Cape Woolamai surf beach (time permitting) and the Nobbies before arriving at Summerland beach for the nightly penguin parade. Home to Victoria’s largest colony of little penguins, Summerland beach provides a spectacular backdrop to the world famous penguin parade.     The penguin parade was amazing as was the moonlight sanctuary. You could pay extra to pet a koala. The trip itself was really rushed, we didn’t get collected until 11:50am. You also have to make your way into the city, no collection for locations outside. They took us to Brighton beach to see beach huts which I wasn’t really interested in and didn’t see on the intinery. The moonlight sanctuary we only got 40 min there and half of that was taken up queuing for lunch. You get a $10 dollar voucher and this will just about get you a toasted sandwich. If you are coeliac like me I’d recommend taking something. When we finally arrived at Phillip island, no time to go into the nobbies, about 10 min to look round at the displays and then time for the parade. Parade was epic! But no time after to visit the shop or see the whole parade as had to leave at 7pm.

    Overall - satisfied, but tour is a bit rushed. Can do without Brighton beach (only spent 15 mins there) and rainforest (only spent 30 mins) Moonlit sanctuary is good as well, with kangaroos and wallabies roaming around, and we are able to feed them freely (with the animal food provided). But the penguins watch is great, followed the guide’s advice to follow them up the bridge, and we manage to see them upclose!

    Enjoyed the tour. Our guide, Chris N was brilliant, though short staffed at some locations due to Covid, he gave it his all. Well done. Would have been so much more useful if Iteniary on Website or confirmation emails had given us full details of stops included on tour but was a nice surprise. Would definitely use again.
