Full description
Join this 12-hour tour of Phillip Island to see the delightful penguin parade and the best of Victoria’s nature and wildlife. During the day you will get up-close-and-personal with the friendly residents of the Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park, where you can hand feed kangaroos and wallabies, have your photo taken with a koala and learn about the conservation of these loveable native animals. The eco certified sanctuary also showcases some lesser known but equally adorable endangered species, including the Southern Bettong, Eastern Quolls and rare Fluffy Gliders. From here we travel on to historic Churchill Island. Here you will see sheep shearing in action and have some time to explore the historic buildings. Visit the stunning Cape Woolamai surf beach (time permitting) and the Nobbies before arriving at Summerland beach for the nightly penguin parade. Home to Victoria’s largest colony of little penguins, Summerland beach provides a spectacular backdrop to the world famous penguin parade. Watch as hundreds of little penguins make their way across the beach and go home for the night. Come and enjoy the beauty and native wildlife of Phillip Island and make this a journey to remember.

Excellent day out, our guide Kelly was really knowledgeable about the local wildlife which was great at the sanctuary. Transport was clean and air conditioned. We booked penguin plus, if you are debating it's definitely worth the extra money. General viewing is a lot further away from where the penguins walk up the sand but with plus they walk within a couple of feet, sadly you can't take photographs of the penguins but it was a fab experience

I really liked the tour, we saw a lot of animals, kangaroos, penguins, koalas and others. The tour was full thanks to our guide. Be prepared that the penguins return around 9 pm and later at sunset that you will be home at 12. Regarding food, lunch is a salad with sausages and tea with muffins, there was also a stop for dinner, dinner is not included tour. Be attentive to the meeting place for the tour not in the museum and not in front of it, but on the side of the building.

Our driver for the day, Jake, was amazing. He was very friendly and told us lots of interesting stories about the area. Before the actual Penguin Parade, which started at sunset (so around 8:15pm if I remember correctly), we spent a few hours at various attractions in the area of Phillip Island. First, we went to the Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park, where we fed Wallaby and Kangaroo and had photos with Koalas. Let me say, this was the best "Zoo" I've visited in my vacation in Australia. Then we went to a farm, to a beach and to a cliff walk. Pretty nice trip. About the actual Penguin Parade I have two things to say: 1. The parade itself it's spectacular, definitely worth seeing. 2. We got the Ranger guided tour upgrade, which granted us better seats compared to the standard viewing area, but the actual tour was mediocre. Our latino ranger was barely speaking English and was constantly laughing and talking non-sense instead of explaining something useful about the place.
