Join us in this unique way of integrating yourself with a diverse and joyful city in this whole-day private tour. Start your day by meeting our local guide at your hotel. He will take you to our first stop: Comuna 13. Here, you’ll take the Metro cable car to get to the comuna, where you’ll be part of its famous graffiti tour. Once down again, Parque Berrío station will be our next destination as one block from there, there is Memory House Museum. Outside the museum you can find the sculptures of Fernando Botero, a famous Paisa artist. Inside Antioquia Museum, you will delight yourself with a mix of national and international art in its several rooms. Right outside, we will go to visit the flea market, to then head to Parque Bolívar, and listen to the history behind its church and foundation. Then, we will visit a traditional coffee shop downtown to have a typical coffee in the Colombian way and learn in depth about the different kinds of preparation. Once you are all satisfied, we will walk along Junín pedestrian street, this one will take us to La Playa Avenue. This is an important street where the first houses were built in Medellin. You will walk all the way up this avenue and will find Placita de Flores market, a traditional market where you can get organic fruit. Here you’ll have a well-deserved fresh juice after a long walk. Afterwards, the tour will cross by Memory House Museum and Bicentenario Park. From there the tour will go down to meet San Antonio park where we will be waiting for the driver who will drop you off at your destination, setting the end of the tour. Plot twist alert! Pablo who is a tour designed to bring to light the B side of the story that was never told by Narcos, grounded in actual facts of the story of the narco phenomenon of Colombia. This tour is not like the regular Pablo Escobar tours. The narrative and the stops that are visited focus on bringing you on a journey through the whole context of the narco era, the impacts on the environment and society and how that deep wound has been defining for the resiliency and the whole social transformation that has made Colombia internationally known for. This four-hour tour will take place in the center-east of Medellin. We will walk through multiple stops that will help us show different narratives of the story, use the cable car system to visit comuna 8 and then the tram to reach Medellin’s Memory Museum. This institution has collaborated in the design of the narrative and research of the contents of this tour, and through its interactive exhibitions, visitors will gain a new perspective from multiple voices about the struggle and resilience of Colombian people.
