Experience the majestic scenery and wonderful culture of Morocco on this adventurous private 8-day trip from Marrakech, trekking through the Atlas Mountains and desert landscapes. Day 1: Marrakech Today we will pick you up at the airport, with a transfer to Riad Palais des Princesses. Day 2: Marrakech Today includes a full-day tour of Marrakech, the ancient imperial city founded in 1062. Marvel at the majestic profile of the Kutubia mosque towering up above the red houses. Visit the Saadian tombs and the Bahia Palace, seat of the Grand Vizier Ba Ahmed dating back to the late nineteenth century. After a break for lunch we continue to Jemaa el Fna market place, the heart of Marrakech. Visit the spice souk as well as the dyers' souk, where artisans dye leather and other fabric. Overnight at Riad Palais des Princesses. Day 3: Marrakech/Dades Gorge After breakfast we travel in the direction of the High Atlas Mountains through the pass of Tizi-n-Riad, using a road that climbs from the plains up to 7,400 feet (2,260 meters) above sea level. On the way we will pass small villages, waterfalls and watch the landscape change color as we head deeper into the mountains. We will stop along the pass for a refreshing glass of mint tea and admire the scenery before taking the road to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, arriving in time for lunch. Here you can visit the famous Kasbah, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, which has been the set for the shooting of films such as Gladiator, Babel, Lawrence of Arabia and The Legionary. From here we drive through Ouarzazate, the famous Valley of Roses and the Dades valley leading to the Dades Gorge in time for sunset where we will stop Xaluca hotel for dinner and overnight. Day 4: Dades Gorge / Merzouga Desert In the morning, after breakfast, you will have the opportunity to take a walk through the Dades gorge. We then take a drive to the valley of a 1000 kasbahs, through the village of Tineghier and the Jewish Kasbah, arriving at Todra Gorge in time for lunch. After lunch you can take a walk into the gorge before going back on the road, heading through the wilderness of Erfoud and Merzouga Rissani where we arrive at sunset. From here we continue our journey by camel to the dunes of Erg Chebbi to spend an incredible and unforgettable night in a Berber tent. Have dinner to the rhythm of drums and songs of the Touareg people under a star-filled sky. Day 5: Erg Chebbi - Tafilalet Region Today the camels will wake you up in time to reach a large dune to admire the sun rise towards the border with Algeria. After breakfast in the Berber tent, you will return by camel to the hotel Auberge du Sud in Erg Chebbi. After a refreshing dip in the hotel pool we will take a 4x4 tour to the caves where natural fossils such as ammonites and trilobites can easily be observed. We will then travel to the small and ancient village of Tissrdmin where many films were shot, taking the road which passes through the Paris-Dakar rally route. We continue through the desert with its black volcanic rocks and stop for tea with a Touareg family. From here we journey on to the village of Kamla, famous for its local population’s African influenced music. Then, return to Rissani for some local pizza with a Touareg family, followed by a visit to the Kasbah of this town. We then return to the Auberge du Sud hotel to relax. Day 6: Merzouga - Draa-Vallee - Ourazazate In the morning we visit the vast palm grove of Tafilalet passing through the city of Rissani, capital of the dynasty of the ancient Sultans of Alaouite. We continue towards Alnif where we have lunch. In the afternoon we take the Tazarine and Nkob route, on a track through the magnificent Draa Valley with its palm trees. Overnight at hotel Dar Chamaa in Ourazazate. Day 7: Ouarzazate / Marrakech After breakfast we depart for the day. We will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, film studios and the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. After some free time on your own for lunch, we proceed to Marrakech where we will spend the night at the Riad Palais des Princesses. Day 8: Marrakech After breakfast, we will transfer you to the airport for your return flight home, or onward travels.

Day 1: Casablanca Upon your arrival in Casablanca, You will find your driver waiting for you in front of the airport. Day 2: Casablanca- Rabat - Volubilis - Fes 9:00 am, after your breakfast, you will drive to Rabat. Discover Rabat, one of the four Imperial Cities and the Capital City of Morocco. Reach Fes in the evening to end this day full of surprises, discoveries, and dinner. Day 3: Fes Visit the spiritual and cultural capital of the Kingdom. The city is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its intricate winding architecture of alleys, souks, and courtyards. See the Bouanania Medersa, Quaraouiyine Mosque, and Foundouk Al Najjarrine. After Lunch, you will continue the tour with the famous tanneries. Day 4: Fes - Merzouga Drive through the 4 seasons road. During winter, you will truly experience the four seasons since you will drive across the snowy Middle Atlas mountains before reaching the hot and dry Sahara Desert in less than 4 hours. At your arrival in Merzouga, enjoy the sunset over the endless sand dunes during a camel ride before reaching your camp for a Berber dinner and drums around the fire camp. Day 5: Merzouga - Ouarzazate Explore the surroundings of the sand dunes and visit the Gnaoua (local brotherhood) Village before heading to Ouarzazate. See the amazing Dades Valley with its uniques round rocks that look like they were melted and the Roses Valley before reaching Ouarzazate at the end of the day. Day 6: Ouarzazate - Marrakech Drive to the famous Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou. A UNESCO World Heritage centuries-old fortress where Lawrence of Arabia was filmed. Drive to the Kasbah Telouet, a fortress built at 2000m altitude near the Tiz'n'Tichka pass. Reach Marrakech, the pearl of the South enjoy an afternoon at leisure to recover from this wonderful yet intense adventure. Day 7: Marrakech to Casabanca Visit the most famous of all imperial cities known for their beautiful climate, the charming position at the feet of the high Atlas Mountains. Marvel at the beautiful 12th C Koutoubia mosque, the Menara Garden, the Jamaa El Fna square, and the Majorelle Garden. Head back to Casablanca at the end of the afternoon to end this unforgettable journey.
