What people are saying about Monistrol de Montserrat

What a fantastic day. Left Salou and headed to Colonia Guell where we saw the church built by gaudi and the rest of the town before a brief stop for a drink at a little local bar. On then to montseratt monastery, a steep climb up winding roads to breathtaking views. The monastery, basilica and other buildings are simply beautiful, the small room contains the black Madonna is intricate and stunning, the work is incredible. Whilst this is a great place to visit, it was made even better by our guide ‘Bruno.’ He has been taking tours since 1994 and his knowledge and commentary is first class. He also slips seamlessly from Spanish to English, French and German keeping everyone involved. I went with my wife, 18 year old daughter and 14 year old son and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day, would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Superb day very well organized! Departure in a small group with a guide. We were with Toni, great guide! You can feel the passion in what he does! The guided tour is the perfect length, covers the essentials with the ability to ask questions at will! For people who like to have free time it was ideal! Good tips to make the most of our free time. The only downside was the insufficient air conditioning in the transport on the way back… it was 35 degrees the day of our excursion! But it's quickly forgotten thinking back to the good times of that day! The meal at the vineyard was very good, we expected tapas but it was more like a 3-course meal, chicken leg. Very good! We recommend!

Alex is a very talented, passionate and personable tour guide with impeccable English. This tour is an absolute must do and highly recommended. Montserrat is AMAZING.

We had a great guide that was very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this guide and the tour.

Our guide was fantastic, really great experience!!
