This is the second oldest building in Panzano in Chianti, used as a medieval post. Enjoy marvelous wines and food tasting in a stunning historical location. Say goodbye to this unique wine cellar and continue walking through olive groves and vineyards toward the second winery. Savor lunch and another wine tasting (sometimes the lunch is postponed to the next stop). The marvelous wine here is produced by 3 generations of local farmers. Tuck into a tasty Tuscan lunch with a selection of their wines, perfect to recharge for another hike towards the last winery. The last Winery is a modern winery created by Italian artists. Settled right at the top of the hills overlooking Montefioralle, an enchanting castle nested in a great position. In the last winery, all modern techniques are combined with old, time-tested knowledge. Enjoy the last wine tasting here. For those who want to hike more, there is the final stretch downhill to reach Montefioralle. Get on the minivan back to Florence.

Following a pickup from your accommodation, make your way to the marvelous Chianti Wine region. Relax on a 1.5-hour drive and pass by beautiful vineyard landscapes and olive grove hills with castles and abbeys. The first stop takes you to the enchanting market town of Greve-in-Chianti, best known for its Chianti wine and picturesque artisan shops. Visit a local artisan for colds cuts and delicacies such as wild boar and pecorino cheeses before crossing the rolling hills to enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Montefioralle, the birthplace of Amerigo Vespucci. Then, indulge in a wine tasting at Antinori’s Badia di Passignano wine estate. Sip a variety of wines from large renowned wine-producers to small boutique estates, family-owned farms and impressive castles. Following the wine tasting, savor a delicious lunch in one of the hidden spots in the Chianti hills.  After lunch, move on to the UNESCO world heritage site of San Gimignano and spend the afternoon exploring the delightful cobbled streets, side squares, piazzas, and architecture. Best known for its renowned Vernaccia di San Gimignano white wine, it is a splendid town to get acquainted with the Tuscan environment. Finally, visit the Gelateria di Piazza, where Sergio Dondoli creates award-winning gelato with flavors including Vernaccia wine sorbet. After spending a full day in the peaceful countryside, return to Florence where you'll arrive around 6:00 PM.
