We will show you how to create the best tasting a Costarican bread using only items you will find at home, no industrial equipment needed. While the dough is rise we'll also make delicious empandas and impress family and friends with hot out of the oven fresh bread rolls using dry instant yeast. The workshop will be a combination of demonstrations as well as following along and making your own, concluding with some drinks where you get to eat and taste everything you have learned to prepare and bake.

This is a third generation, small scale, sustainable farm. The animals are pasture-fed and roam freely throughout the day. It is our vision to continue to operate this farm without the use of pesticides or chemical based fertilizers and to maintain a balance of pasturelands and forest. Come and see the cows up close and try your hand at milking. Take a tour of the garden, where you will find banana trees and seasonal fruits and veggies under the care of our family. We also have baby cows, goats, pigs, chickens that are part of the farm operation. Monteverde is an area with a rich history in dairy production. We invite to try fresh Costa Rican cheese. You can enjoy an authentic meal featuring the freshly made cheese, hand made tortillas, along with other locally sourced and seasonably available items.
