I would recommend getting on the port cable car across the city. This stops at a view point on the hillside. A 10 walk up the hill brings you to the Olympic pool where you can have a drink and a snack with panoramic views of the city. A further few minutes walk and you get on the montjuic cable car. We booked a return trip and paid 4 euros at the top to enter Montjuïc castle. This gave a nice view over the city and port.

we came on Sunday the line was long, and it was very easy to skeep the line!! The visit to the castle is not free....but the park is very nice Asher

Great trip on the cable car. Got there early but already quite busy. The views are amazing both from the car and the castle at the top.

Was definitely a highlight of the short stay we had. We went May 2022 and weather was perfect.

Lovely time filler before getting our taxi to the airport
