You can get there with the t10 ticket for metro (Paral-el stop) and funicular, it really helps because it would be very steep to go on foot. The day we got there was Christmas, so everything (Castle, Botanical garden) was closed and we ended up just going for a walk. Once you go down you can get out of the cable car on a stop in between, so you can explore some more

Exceptional ride and also the park cafe has good collection of food items and coffee. Suggestion is go early in the morning to avoid the crowd.
