Your tour commences with an introductory on-board safety briefing, before cruising past the amazing cliff top mansions out into the sheltered shallows of Port Phillip Bay. With your family or friends, you will head off to Chinaman's Hat, a local spot where the ever-curious Australian fur seals are waiting to show off their way of life. From Chinaman's Hat, cruise over to Popes Eye at the Marine National Park for a look at the Australasian gannets, where your guides will share with you some interesting and educational facts about these amazing birds. From there, you'll cruise the magnificent Port Phillip Bay in search of the inspiring bottle nosed dolphins. There is no need to jump into the water; the captain's technique will place you right next to the action where you will receive a fantastic view into the world of the dolphins and seals. At the conclusion of your guided insight into Australia's flora and fauna, you will be returned to your point of origin.

Embark on an unforgettable underwater adventure, snorkeling with cheeky and cheerful Australian fur seals. Departing Sorrento Pier in Victoria's picturesque Mornington Peninsula, your cruise commences with welcome tea or coffee as you revel in views of the coastline and cliff-top mansions. Arriving at Chinaman's Hat, a structure built just for the seals in Port Phillip Bay, you will take the plunge to swim with these gentle, playful and curious creatures. This sheltered area has a maximum depth of four meters and participants can float on the surface and watch the seals swim freely around them if they wish.

Departing from Sorrento Pier, enjoy a welcome tea or coffee, before venturing into the sheltered shallows of Port Phillip Bay to embark on an exciting once in a lifetime adventure.   Make your way to Chinaman's Hat, a man-made structure built to protect local Australian fur seals. Go for a snorkel in the structure’s shallow waters and get up close and personal with the ever-curious seals who are waiting to share their underwater world with you. Next, go for a swim with dolphins. Float on the water’s surface as these playful creatures swim beneath you and circle the group, showing off their amazing abilities. Finish your experience with a snorkel with the sea dragons, a unique species of seahorse native to the area, and discover the prehistoric looking creatures for yourself in their natural habitat.

Tour Highlights After a safety briefing and operational overview, participants will be fitted to their selected waterbike via 'Start Booking Now' (either our Recumbent or Upright) and given lifejackets before departing from Mothers Beach, Mornington. The tour will head out the Mornington Harbour amongst the yachts moored and keeping an eye out for large look stingray, before pedalling north towards Mills Beach. Continuing north we then pass Beleura Cliff Lookout and Mornington Golf Club perched high above the cliff tops. Further along is Morning Star Beach, with Reginald Ansett's attempted post World War Two sophisticated modern hotel, Hotel Manyung, emerging from fields above. As we turn we divert our eyes and keep an appropriate distance from the shore as we pass Sunnyside North Beach, Victoria's last remaining clothing optional beach. The return trip is a pleasant open water pedal keeping our eyes open for some of the Mornington Peninsulas Bottlenose Dolphins known to frequent this stretch of water and friends of our eco-friendly waterbikes. Our tour ends as we approach Schnapper Point, the original name given to the Mornington township, before finishing back Mothers Beach alongside The Rocks Mornington, an ideal location to replenish.

This unique rock formation is a local attraction not to be missed. Savor the moment as you sail the bay on a ferry and enjoy a regional produce picnic lunch while taking in the serene bay views. The tour continues after lunch with a visit to the St. Andrews Brewery. This craft brewery was once a world-class horse training facility. Here you’ll join the locals for a beer paddle tasting and watch the brewers crafting and pouring great brews right from their stable doors. Next, go up to Arthurs Seat and admire the panoramic views from Murrays Lookout across the bay to the city. The final stop is another iconic local attraction, the Peninsula Bathing Boxes. Found on beaches along the coast of the Mornington Peninsula, these renowned bathing boxes are set against the beautiful backdrop of the blue ocean. This is one scene from the day to be remembered. Finally, return to central Melbourne for drop-off at the Mail Exchange Hotel.

After that, you’ll head to the Narana Aboriginal Cultural Centre to discover Victoria’s largest collection of Aboriginal art and artifacts and greet the local emus and wallabies in a native garden. The next stop along the Bellarine Peninsula will be a stroll around the Point Lonsdale Lighthouse for a fantastic photo opportunity before boarding the ferry from Queenscliff to Sorrento. Savor the moment of sailing on the bay while enjoying a regional produce picnic lunch onboard. Observe some of the most serene bay views that the coastline has to offer. Set upon the pristine Portsea Surf Beach, you’ll see the London Arch, a unique rock formation and impressive natural wonder. Venture on to St. Andrews Beach Brewery, set among the beauty of the Mornington Peninsula and formerly a world-class horse training facility. Join the locals for a beer paddle tasting, and watch the brewers crafting and pouring great brews right from their stable doors. Next stop at Arthurs Seat to admire the panoramic views from Murrays Lookout across the bay to the city. Finally, take a glimpse into local heritage-protected history and the world-renowned Mornington Peninsula beach boxes. Situated along the coast, these iconic bathing boxes are the area’s symbol of summer and a popular tourist attraction. Enjoy the return trip back to Melbourne after a full day of sightseeing and exploring some of the greatest destinations around the bay.

After being collected from your accommodation, you will make your way to the Geelong Waterfront. Geelong’s spectacular waterfront is the perfect place to start the day, and will provide you with the opportunity to breathe in the fresh sea air as you walk along the esplanade. After departing from Geelong, you will visit the Scotchmans Hill Vineyard. Set on the picturesque Bellarine Peninsula with magnificent views, your first stop includes a wine tasting at this old French provincial barn house, situated amongst the vineyards of an estate. Your tour then advances towards the Jack Rabbit Vineyard. Renowned for its breathtaking views, the house of Jack Rabbit Café will give you an opportunity to break for lunch and taste some of the Bellarine Peninsula’s epic eateries in a "local that the locals never want to leave". You will then sail upon the bay enjoying a Devonshire tea, observing the beauty of the area. St. Andrews Brewery is next on your experience, which is a craft brewery set amongst the beauty of the Mornington Peninsulas which was once a world-class horse training facility. There you’ll join the locals for a beer-paddle tasting and the opportunity to watch the brewers crafting and pouring fantastic brews right from the stable doors. Following the brewery, you will stop at Arthurs Seat and admire the panoramic views from Murrays Lookout across the bay to the city. You will eventually make your way to the Peninsula Bathing Boxes, iconic bathing boxes which are the area’s symbol of summer and are a tourist attraction to themselves. At the conclusion of your peninsular experience, you will be returned to your point of origin.

The tour will head out around the iconic Frankston Pier heading south towards the Olivers Hill scenic lookout. We will head towards Daveys Bay, home to Daveys Bay Yacht Club founded in 1909 and the historical jetty onstructed in the 1840s to ship his local produce to Melbourne. The Canadian Bay Club, formed in 1958, is our turnaround point. One of the founding members was Sir Laurence Hartnett, the then Managing Director of General Motors Holden and the designer and developer of the first Holden car. We return towards Frankston, perhaps accompanied at times by some of the Mornington Peninsulas Bottlenose Dolphins known to frequent this stretch of water and friends of our eco-friendly waterbikes.
