This self-guided audio starts at the harbor, where you’ll learn much of the Maori history of the area including the tribal ancestry. Just wonderful!!Our guide,Andrew and his wife Natalie made us feel welcomed from the start. Andrew was very informative, gave us enough time to take our photos, the places we visited were beautiful and the whole experience was a plus. Surprised by the extent of the tour, the places we visited, lunch was very good, bus was clean and Andrew made sure we got back to the ship(departed at 4:00 PM) on time. Would recommend Andrew and New Zealand Discovery Tours anytime!!-Carlos, Ruth,Asmabel and David(Puerto Rico).

Maori culture experience

It was a nice tour to get acquainted with Rotorua and its cultural life. Our guide Andrew was very informative but a bit difficult to understand for non-English speakers. We spent a lot of time in Maori village for cultural experience and had an excellent lunch in one of the area hotels. Unfortunately, observation of fascinating Redwoods and Kiwi Plants spots was in a rush.

Reallly enjoyed theday but spent 2 hours on a part of the tour we weren't aware of, when 6 no people on our buse went to the spa. We had two buses one left after lunch to return to Tauranga our buse arrived back to late to explore the town which we had planned to do.

Awesome guide Peter made the excursion so enjoyable. His knowlege and friendliness made it the best excursion ever

A real eye opener as to the every day life of the people who live there.
