Visiting Pompeii and Vesuvius was an amazing and unforgettable experience without any doubt. Anyone who will go to Naples should visit those two places. Our tour guide Francesca, from the other hand, even though gave us all the infos that we needed to learn about Pompeii , was rude and not too easy to communicate especially in the beginning. It was our first time there we knew nothing about where to go or what to do and yet I wanted to ask a question and all I got back was to ignore me. So after that i didn't have much joy in listing to her. Another than that eveything was more than amazing!

From here, take a short hike up to the steaming crater for stunning views of Capri and Sorrento. During the winter season between November and March, Mt. Vesuvius is closed, so your tour will follow the coastline and take you to the city of Naples, where you can explore the iconic Castle Nuovo, the famous art deco Umberto I Gallery, or simply wander around th...

Well organized tour and well priced. My only recommendation is to allow more time for Mt. Vesuvius. Having only one hour to climb and descend was not enough time for us to fully aprreciate it.

On the red bus I really appreciated that the attendant made sure everyone was wearing their masks, not so on the blue bus. The tape for the red bus was a little confusing as it didn’t match up with some of the stops due to traffic. It was a really nice overview of the old town though. The ride on the blue bus was really good. The stops were further apart so it was easier to follow the guide. A great idea of the scope and past of the city

    6. Naples: Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Mount Vesuvius Tour

Stroll through the streets of the Roman city of Pompeii and check the numerous different UNESCO archaeological sites, such as the Herculaneum. Both archaeological sites feature the excavated ruins of alleyways and homes where you are free to explore. These locations are also fascinating in that archaeologists are still continuing to unearth the remains of a place forever locked in time. You can stop to enjoy the view of the Bay of Naples from the top, as you enjoy a delicious lunch. Jasmine, our guide and the driver Domenico were so friendly and skilled. I highly recommend this tour with these two to guide you through the day. Wonderful tour for the family. My wife and I along with our four children were picked up in a shuttle at our hotel and all transport throughout the day was super easy. The guides were some of the kindest people we’ve ever met and pointed out some great info along the way that was really interesting. Definitely don’t forget to bring plenty of water! The tour is great, but the day is long and water is essential. The lunch between the tours was great and more than we could eat. The sites were everything we wanted to see, but what really made the day enjoyable was the genuine kindness and generosity of our guides.

I super recommend this tour. They pick you up with the bus and take you to the highest base on the volcano so you don't have to walk too much. On arrival you have 2 hours of free time which is enough to walk up, look around, buy souvenirs and return. Perfect! They even offered an option to see the ruins of Ercolano and get picked up again.

  • Mount Vesuvius 4-Hour Volcano Tour with Wine Tasting

    10. Mount Vesuvius 4-Hour Volcano Tour with Wine Tasting

On this 4-hour tour you’ll be picked up from a comfortable meeting point close to your accommodation in Naples for the transfer to Pompeii, where you’ll join the group at the meeting point. From here you you’ll board an air-conditioned minibus that will take you through the national park to the top of Mount Vesuvius. Pine forests, lush woods, bright yellow flowers, and an uncanny volcanic landscape await on this spectacular drive, along with amazing views of the Bay of Naples. Once you’ve reached the top a volcanologist (different languages available) will guide you along the crater. Take your time to enjoy the views before making your way back to the parking place, where your driver will be waiting to take you back to Naples.

Two hours at a restaurant with a nice view, but strange concept of wine tasting, serving three glasses, white, rose and red. Wine is poured without explanation, or any information, really; the food going with it being more interesting and tasty. The weather did not cooperate, the view was, except a few seconds, obstructed by clouds - inward and outward. The guide was entertaining, spoke very good English, a stark contrast to most people I've talked to in and near Naples.

Francesco was an awesome guide and we are very happy that we did that tour. He picked us up in front of Pompeji on time, was very knowledgeable, gave a great spirit with his music choice while driving up the Vesuvius and he really did a great job on the walk the way up. He kept the group together and made frequent stops to explain something so that everybody had enough time to catch breath again without the feeling to be the „slow“ one. You can feel that he is a great guide that enjoys what he does. It took about 30 min up and middle of Sept temperature was just fine. In the end he even dropped us off on the way back close to our accommodation what was great and not a matter of course as we experienced the next day. Thank you Francesco!

Vincenzo was a fabulous tour guide, he was very informative and had a lot of knowledge regarding Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvio! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is able to walk a good distance. The walk up Mt. Vesuvio is not for everyone. Thank you Vincenzo for a terrific trip to Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvio!

Robert, our guide, was super knowledgeable! He was also very funny. Although there was a hiccup with our Pompeii tickets (main office’s fault) that was cleared up and Robert communicated with us really well about how the rest of our day would flow.

Very well organised tour! Vincenzo was very knowledgable and looking out for the group. Both attractions are very worth a visit!

Very nice, exquisite staff. Definitely to be recommended.
