  • Hear the exciting stories behind the famous highlights
  • Find the hidden gems that otherwise only insiders know and catch a glimpse behind the scenes
  • Marvel at the magnificent beauty of renaissance, baroque and rococo art at the churches and palaces
Full description

Start in the very heart of Munich, at Marienplatz (St. Mary's Square) with its beautiful New City Hall and view to Frauenkirche (Cathedral of Our Dear Lady). Marvel at St. Peter's, the first and eldest church of Munich. Go inside to admire its precious interior.

Head to Viktualienmarkt, Germany's biggest food and grocery market with many Bavarian delicacies, to get a feeling for Bavarian food and where you meet some of the vendors. Only some minutes away, visit the famous Hofbräuhaus with its numerous international tourists but also strict Bavarian traditions.

Continue to Max-Joseph-Square to discover the Royal Residence, where the family of Wittelsbach (the Bavaria kings) lived, loved, and ruled. If there is time left, stop at Fieldmarshall's Hall, erected when the old city walls have been demolished. Discover the evolution Munich has experienced from a medieval market through all bright and dark episodes of history to the capital of Bavaria.

We were lucky to have Tobias as our guide. You get a lot of interesting facts about Munich, which lead to getting to know the city in a completely new way. Lots of information was packaged in an exciting and funny way. Overall, the tour of the stand was very entertaining and really worth it!

We had a city tour in Munich with Tobias on Friday and were just thrilled! We were lucky and there were only two of us, so the tour was very personal. Tobias, I've done my homework: "In the year 797, Tuttlingen was first mentioned in writing in the Latinized form "tuttiliningas" in a document from the monastery of St. Gallen." In case Tobias asks you questions: With "1158" or "Monk" you can your wrong. Dear Tobias, thank you very much for the informative and very friendly city tour. All the best. LG Moni and Jan
