Barcelona Montjuïc Walking Tour: Magic and Transformations

10. Barcelona Montjuïc Walking Tour: Magic and Transformations

Begin your Montjuïc Walking Tour outside the Montjuïc Castle where you’ll hear how this hill is connected to the very foundation of Barcelona. From there, we’ll begin our walk in the colorful gardens and up to some incredible viewpoints. At Mirador del Alcalde, your guide will regale you with tales of the ancient migrant community that once lived here and the many evolutions of this unusual hilltop. We’ll enjoy this scenic viewpoint of Barcelona and then continue on to the Joan Brossa gardens. In these beautifully landscaped gardens, you’ll admire a statue dedicated to the traditional Catalan dance, La Sardana. Later, we’ll visit another monument to dance, this one for Carmen Amaya, the famous flamenco dancer with humble roots. Our garden-hopping isn’t done. In the Laribal’s Gardens, you’ll get to know the mystical side of Montjuïc. Here, centuries ago, witches and wizards used to gather. Walking down the hill, we arrive at our last stop, the Plaça d'Espanya (Spain Square). Admire the new architecture that the 20th century brought to Barcelona, such as the striking Museum of Catalan Art and the beautiful waterfall lined-walk. Before you go, make a wish at the stunning and sometimes musical Magic Fountain of Montjuïc, built in 1929 for the International Exhibition. Who knows? It just might come true!

Get directions adress was not among adresses on the list so I mailed help center and they answered me that is fault and I go on adress on the list. Everybody, in tourist center and in whole Barcelona are very kind and polite. We didn't see so much because we arrived later but free public transportation is great. We were in Picasso museum, Moco museum, Wox museum, Aquarium. Also, Sagrada Familia and Park Guell but not with this card. We were there 2 days at the end, but I went with 12y.o. son, for him is cheaper so it's ok price. No worry. We'll come back! Charming Barcelona!!!!

Fantastic experience seeing so many attractions in Barcelona. Didn’t have to wait long for a bus to arrive when getting off and back on . Lots of information giving about all attractions

Save you time and money. Uber and taxis not always available. Plus buses / metro routes are well planned And you will save extra bucks if you are planning to visit some museums

So glad that we were able to get full access tickets. We took an uber from Paris and wanted to do the tour on our own timetable. It worked out perfect! It was a long day!

Excellent value for money, cheaper than Versailles website
