Then, walk to the Obelisco de Buenos Aires in the center of Avenida 9 de Julio, erected to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the city, and finish the walking tour in front of the Colon Theater.  The Colon Theater is considered one of the 5 best opera houses in the world for its size, acoustics, and trajectory. You can choose to add a 50-minute guided tour of the Colon Theater. Admire the stunning auditorium, main foyer, Gallery of Busts, and Golden Hall. Marvel at the stunning details of the building's stairs, sculptures, ceilings, stained glass, and more.  You can choose to add a visit to the MALBA (Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires). Board a public bus to the Palermo neighborhood to enter the museum that collects, preserves, studies, and disseminates Latin American art in all mediums. See approximately 400 works of art at your own pace and take the time to explore each room at leisure. You can choose to add a visit to the Teatro Colón and the MALBA. Your guide will wait for you while you take the guided tour of the theater before escorting you to the MALBA.

Great personal introduction to the city. The theatre is amazing! The museum is also good. We stayed in Recoleta so walk back to hotel from the museum was great, as it went past some nice sights.

The Colon Theater was just amazing. Opéra 2 in Paris is not as easy to compare, but I thought it was better than La Scala in Milan. The old town was interesting, but the new town was boring.

Nice tour and good explanations A planned coffee stop during the long walk would be welcome
