1. Mykonos: Evening Mykonian Farm Experience and Barbecue
This unique experience begins at 5:00 PM with pickup from your hotel. Drive across the center of the island that unites Hora of Mykonos with the village of Ano Mera. Upon arrival at the farm, you'll be greeted by the farm's owner who will welcome you with traditional treats, including the famous Greek delights, or loukoumi, and dried figs. Sit and relax on a traditional stone-built couch and sip some raki as you hear about the history of the island's farming, livestock, and crops. Afterwards, the owner will guide you through the farm, showing you how the organic and animal farming operates. All the farm animals, including pigs, sheep, goats, rabbits, chickens, and the proud donkey Konstantis, will be there to greet you. Depending on the season, you may be able to cut and sample products directly from the vegetable garden. For those looking to get involved with the farming tasks, the owner will provide you with the right tools and instructions to do so. Immediately after the farming tour, begin the Hellenic barbecue experience, consisting of gastronomic delights that will make your stomach rumble. The experienced grill man will start the fire and cook up a variety of the highest quality Hellenic meat. All participants will take turns in learning the Hellenic practice of barbecuing while constantly guided by the grill master. During the whole process, you will also learn to make staple side dishes, such as the famous horiatiki salad, which, naturally, will consist of ingredients straight from the farm. Help to whip up a tasty tzatziki sauce with fresh cucumbers picked from the garden while a fresh Mykonian sausage omelet is cooked on the spot with eggs that you pick directly from the coop. All necessary equipment for the barbecue will be provided. The festivities and the consumption of meat, wines, and other drinks are all included with no limit on quantity and time duration. The feast and fun will take place under the shady pavillion, perfectly located on the farm. Make sure that your outfit is casual, as there is little room for a formal dress on the farm. After this experience comes to an end, there will be a photo session with guests and staff, and then shortly after 8:30 PM, transport service to your hotel or any other location will be arranged.
