Full description
Experience the traditional way of life on Mykonos and learn about its culture and cuisine on this 6-hour program. Teta, your hostess and chef, will provide tips and show you cooking methods that have made Mykonos cuisine so popular. Enjoy some local snack favorites such as dakos with kopanisti cheese and tomato, louza (sun dried pork fillets), wine and Cretan raki. Enjoy her lovely home and visit her organic vegetable garden. Head to the kitchen, where you’ll make tzatziki and spinach pie, stuffed peppers and tomatoes, beef with orzo and more. You’ll be guided through the whole procedure, and afterwards have a chance to taste what you’ve prepared.

Learned alot not just about Greek foods but Greek culture itself. Food prep was fun and the finished products were delicious. The only hiccup was the pick up. We were first told between 3-4 pm and the driver did not show up until almost 4:30. That was 90 minutes wasted waiting for our ride.

We had such a great time! Christiana was AMAZING and I loved learning so many secret "tips" in addition to all the hands on cooking that we did! Michael & Katie and Ben & Kim were awesome people that we met just that afternoon that I really feel we were able to connect with and have this great experience that really bonded us as a small group. And the food that we prepared was incredible! So worth it!!

WHAT A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE! My wife and I were fortunate enough to be able to do this cooking class alone and what a time we had! Our teacher was a wonderful person who had been working on the island for years, and was more than willing to give us the insight that comes from such experience. While we cooked, she explained very thoroughly all of the details on how to cook to a culinary expertise that would have stumped the average person. Additionally, she was more than willing to tell us about her experiences as a resident of the island, as well as talk to us about the foods of the islands surrounding Mykonos as well. Finally, when we sat down to eat our creations, we were flabbergasted by how amazing it all tasted, knowing that we were mostly responsible for the majority of the process. It was a fantastic meal with fantastic company!
