Once you arrive at Delos you’ll receive an introduction to the ancient and sacred site. With your guide, you’ll explore the narrow city streets. Marvel at the impressive house of Dionysus and the exceptional mosaics, well-preserved marble columns, and wall paintings. See other monuments in the urban area, including the Theater of Delos. You really need a guide when visiting Delos. Signage is not real good. so without a guide you would not understand much of what is seen. the water taxi worked well as did picking up tickets at the dock. Visiting Delos was interesting but it really took up all our time in port.

Your pre-tour documentation process was a problem since we were on a cruise ship and did not have very good internet accessibility. On the day before the tour, you sent an email requiring that we print out our tour tickets. That is not easy to do on a cruise ship. You also required us to arrive at the tour water taxi location at least 15 minutes early. Then we waited about 30 minutes before we could board the water taxi. Upon arrival at the old pier dock, we waited another 30 minutes before we could get our ferry tickets to Delos. That was a lot of wasted time. After arriving at Delos, our tour guide showed us around parts of the ruins and did a fine job of providing a detailed description of the ancient city. Our only regret is that we did not have enough time to tour the entire site.

Getting to the tour itself was very confusing. I had emailed several times for exact instructions and they were not specific enough. I had to call the office to get better instructions about where to meet the guide (on Delos, not at the cruise terminal/port). The tour itself was very good.
