We had a guide that was the former head of archeology at Delos! It was a superb experience. But please note that the tix you buy online need to be traded in for paper tix at the dock. There was a long, slow line. Would have loved not to have had to deal with that aspect. Additionally, it would have been nice to know at the outset how often the ferry runs so that we could have taken more time at the site exploring on our own

A very nice tour with Athena & overall a good experience. Worth noting that skip the queue ticket was worth it & that the entrance is mayhem when you get to Delos ( I nearly lost the group before we even started).PRO TIP- go to the toilet on the boat rather than when you arrive at the museum, there is a huge queue & it delays the tours. Another thing to note is that the headset do not have a wide range & if you want to hear you should try and stay near the guide. For those mythology lovers please note that the tour does not have much of a focus on that & if that is why you are going there then you might be better off exploring the grounds and have a book with you. I was going there for the mythology but still got a lot out of the tour & enjoyed Athena’s narration of the ruins & history. You get an hour once the tour ends to explore, this is not enough to scale mount Cynthus but I would recommend finding Leto’s tree in front of the lions statues surrounded by shrubs before heading back

If you’re staying outside of Mykonos town, there’s only 2 spots where the bus/taxi can drop you off. It’s a less than 10 min walk from the closest drop off. Boarding the ferry was easy. We had a guided tour. He went over the highlights, but it was a bit too long for me. I would have liked the tour to be a bit shorter, because it was getting too warm to stand and listen.
