Full description

Visit the Amalfi Coast on a day trip from Naples. Take in Sorrento from the sea. Visit Amalfi and Positano, with the option of exploring Ravello too. Admire incredible scenery worthy of a UNESCO World Heritage listing.

From the convenient meeting point in Naples, you will transfer to the port of Torre del Greco. From there, set sail to Sorrento, enjoying the amazing Mount Vesuvius in the background and learning about its tragic history from your expert guide.

Admire the beauty of the Sorrento coastline: the panoramic terraces overhanging the sea, the Baths of Queen Giovanna, the Bay of Jeranto, and the Protected Sea Area of Punta Campanella. When you arrive at Amalfi, you will have free time to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its picturesque views, romantic landscapes, and the cathedral of Saint Andrew.

Depending on the option chosen, you can also visit Ravello, a resort town, where you can see the Villa Rufolo and its serene garden, which offers a breathtaking panorama over the entire Gulf of Salerno. Then you will depart for Positano, the pearl of the Amalfi Coast, famous for its narrow streets, small shops, and colorful pottery. You will have some free time here to explore before relaxing on board for the journey back to Naples.

This tour offers the opportunity to cram a lot of cool experiences into a single day. Stefania and Jessica at HP Travel did a fantastic job organizing the whole experience, though I imagine it must be a logistical nightmare! Seriously impressed by our trilingual tour guides, as well as the beautiful towns of the Amalfi Coast!

This 2-hour boat ride was my favorite part of my overall time in Naples! Amalfi and Positano were fun to see--touristy, good food, nice beach, and just enough time to explore (3 hours in Amalfi and 1 hour in Positano)--but the boat was the highlight for me as we got to watch the beautiful coastline slip by. I also appreciated the ease of transit to the boat and our hotel.

Pompeii is a must see! It was a cool experience to learn how the ancient romans used to live and also see the ruins. I do wish our guide had gone into the history a little more. Mount Vesuvius was also cool, but not as impressive as I expected. The best part of the hike was the view of Naples and the water from the top. Overall, I'd still recommend if these two spots are on your bucket list.
