Full description
This full-day tour of the World Heritage Sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum begins with a pick-up at your hotel in Naples and a transfer by bus to the ruins at Pompeii. There will be a tour assistant on the bus during this part of the excursion. On arriving in Pompeii you’ll meet your guide and then explore the ruins for around 2 hours. Your guide will show you the traditions and daily life of ancient Pompeii. You’ll see the large theater, the necropolis, the thermal baths, and some of the amazing houses that were owned by the richest residents. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, head to Herculaneum where you’ll have the chance to explore the ruins on your own. It’s possible to observe the daily life of the population here in even more detail than in Pompeii, as the mud and volcanic debris that covered the city preserved the structures and artifacts of Herculaneum.

How not to evaluate this exceptional tour? Considering the vastness of Pompeii, perhaps it is better not to combine it with Herculaneum, 2h are just a few in particular for Pompeii. Our guide was fantastic, Lello, this also helps to put you in the right mood and enjoy the beauties around you. Obviously you have to be lucky and hope that there are few people in fact Herculaneum, less frequented, we enjoyed it more. Very good and very helpful all the staff who accompanied the tour.

Fantastic day out! Our driver Franco was warm, friendly and made great conversation — always pointing out important areas on the drive there and sharing stories. Both Pompeii & Herculaneum were amazing sites to visit and definitely worth the time. Lunch was also great, the staff were super nice and the food tasted delicious. If you’re considering booking this tour, I highly recommend!

Both Pompeii and Herculaneum are very cool. It's worth the thought to see both. The truth is that it is expensive, and on top of that, being so expensive, more details hurt, such as not inviting you to water for lunch. But despite that I recommend the excursion to anyone who is curious to see the life of the people at that time.
