Languedoc: Tour and Tasting at Domaine de Baronarques

1. Languedoc: Tour and Tasting at Domaine de Baronarques

Dive into centuries of winemaking tradition with a tour of the Domaine de Baronaques. Acquired by Baroness Philippine de Rothschild and her 2 sons in 1998, the vineyard has been in existence since the 17th century, when it was under the possession of the Abbey de Saint-Polycarpe. Across over 270 acres of lush vineyards, experience the raw materials that coalesce to form a wine celebrated across the globe. After arrival at the vineyard, you'll tour the vat-house and barrel-room where wines are fermented and aged, and see the 19th-century French Château, nestled into a tree-covered hill. After the tour, you will have the opportunity to taste the 3 wines produced at the Domaine de Baronaques: Grand Vin Rouge, La Capitalle de Baronarques, and Grand Vin Blanc.

What people are saying about Narbonne

The activity consists of a tour of the vineyards and the winery, where we learn a little about its history. Then, we tasted 3 wines: a white and two reds. When booking the language options were French or English, but when we arrived at the winery one of the hostesses spoke in Spanish, so we could choose that language :) The place is incredible and the attention is excellent. It lasted approx. 40 'and we pay € 10 per person. It was a wonderful experience. We highly recommend !!

A lovely introduction to the vineyard experience. We saw the vats and barrels of wine. We were informed about the process. Then we were able to taste four wines with an expert guide who had taken us through the whole tour. I highly recommend this experience.
