Day 1 : COLOMBO – SIGIRIYA – KANDY Sigiriya Museum This decent museum has a fine diorama of the site, providing an excellent overview and explaining Sigiriya's cultural importance beyond the obvious natural beauty. The theory that Sigiriya was a Buddhist monastery is given here, although the established position that it was a palace or fortress prevails. Dambulla Cave Temple Dambulla cave temple also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla is a World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka, situated in the central part of the country. This site is situated 148 kilometres east of Colombo and 72 kilometres north of Kandy. Your tour begins as you are picked up from your Colombo hotel to be transferred to Bentota. Once there you will enjoy some water sports, before taking a river safari down the beautiful Madu River. This river is a wetland estuary spreading over 900 hectares of which 770 hectares are covered with water and inhabited with 64 islands. This boat ride is a wonderful way to take a closer look at this complex wetland ecosystem, which is a UNESCO-listed site. The area is also protected by the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands as one of the last wetlands in Sri Lanka to contain a pristine mangrove forest. Once having explored the wetlands, you will transfer to Kosgoda to visit a turtle hatchery where you will see various breeds of sea turtles. Lunch at a recommended restaurant will follow before you transfer to Meetiyagoda, where you will visit the Moonstone Mine and workshop. Following the mine, you'll head to Hikkaduwa Beach to visit the Galle Dutch fort, which was first built in 1588 by the Portuguese. It was later extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century, and in the modern age has become UNESCO-listed. At the conclusion of your cultural experience, you will transfer back to Colombo.

Day 1 YOUR HOTEL / BELIHULOYA 07:30 You will be picked up from your hotel in Negombo or other selected cities ( see the departure point) and driven approximately 4 hours to reach Belihuloya. Dinner and overnight Stay at Tree House Chalets. Day 2 06:00 Wake up early in the morning and experience the sunshine over the mountains whilst discovering the wonder of nature surrounded by the hotel. 07:30 Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel restaurant. 09:00 Following breakfast, your guide will take you through another memorable walking trail to a waterfall in the property premises. Tranquil dip in this natural rock pool. No harsh chemicals, just you, pure mountain water and natural stone. This is a marvelous creation of nature! (Involves a somewhat adventurous, challenging short climb walks). 11:30 Arrive back at the hotel and get refreshed before leaving back to your drop off location. Head to the Muthurajawela Marsh in Negombo to experience the vibrant birdlife at the bird sanctuary. Enjoy a day away from the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse yourself in Muthuajawela’s lush greenery and wildlife. Ride a boat across the lagoon.  From pickup in Colombo, it takes approximately an hour to get to Muthurajawela. En route, enjoy your included packed breakfast. Upon arrival, start your hike through the wilderness. A professional bird guide will help to identify birds you see along the way. Get a chance to see little green herons, black-crowned night herons, Indian cormorants, Eurasian curlew, shikras, white-bellied sea eagles, and many others. Later, complete your experience with a 2-hour boat ride on the lagoon and get a chance to see more birds such as waders or water birds. After, get dropped back off at your accommodation in Colombo. Muthurajawela, one of the 12 high-priority wetlands in Sri Lanka, has nearly 200 species of flora, 102 species of birds, 40 species of fish, 14 species of reptiles, over 20 species of mammals, and almost 50 species of butterflies in the sanctuary. The wetlands of the Muthurajawela Bird Sanctuary sprawls over 6230 hectares on the western coastline of Sri Lanka. Over 200 years ago, the area was prime agricultural land, which produced the beautiful pearl-like rice that was served to the kings of the Kotte Kingdom. Once the fields were abandoned due to saltwater seepage from the Dutch Canals, nature took over, and with time it became populated with the highly biodiverse ecology of the coastal wetlands that it is now.

Day 01 7:30: You will be picked up from your hotel in Negombo or other selected cities ( see the departure point) and driven approximately 4 hours to reach Belihuloya. 12:00: Arrive at Tree House Chalets and check in for lunch. After lunch, you will enjoy the surrounding of the hotel and spend couple of hours at leisure. 15:00: You will start your walking trail to the village with your guide. You will walk through beautiful paddy fields and the friendly welcoming breeze that blow through. (Unpaved muddy path and possible leech bites can be expected) Meet the villagers and peep into the rural village life. Enjoy a tea session with them before say goodbye! 18:00: Arrive back at your hotel refresh with worm water shower before enjoying your BBQ dinner at roof terrace. Spend the overnight Stay at Tree House Chalet. Day 02 Wake-up early in the morning and experience the sunshine over the mountains whilst discovering the wonder of nature surrounded by the chalet. 7:30: Enjoy your breakfast. 8:30: Your guide will take you through another memorable walking trail to Pahantudawa Falls, a marvelous creation of nature in a mini canyon like geographical setting nowhere can be seen in Sri Lanka, located about 1.5 km from the hotel (Involves a somewhat adventurous, challenging short climb walks) 10:30: Arrive back at the hotel and get refreshed before leaving to Yala. 12:00- 13:00 You will enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant on the way to Yala. 15:00: Arrive at Yala Junction where you will start your evening game drive at Yala National park to experience the wildlife treasure in one of the best homes for Leopards and other animals in Asia. 18:30: Check in to Leopard Nest Campsite and enjoy your private Alfresco shower followed by drinks and appetizers around the campfire. 21:00 Dinner will be served at one of many locations available through the camp. Dine under the stars for an unforgettable evening meal in the jungle experience. Stay overnight at Leopard Nest. Day 03 Wake up around 5:00 am to freshly brewed Ceylon tea or coffee. Leave the campsite at 05:30 am and start to trek through thick bushes with a pathway access to a wonderful lake which offers breath-taking views and bird watching opportunities. If you are fortunate enough, you will encounter wildlife like elephants; Deers; palm squirrels; wild boars; etc. Also, you will confront both endemic and migratory birds; butterflies and lizards and land monitors slithering around the lake. Capture the splendid views of wildlife and nature to take back home. Don’t forget to ask your naturalist to share his adventures in the wild during the trek. Enjoy breakfast at a private location by a lake whilst listening to the singing of birds and feeling the fresh breeze. Return from the nature trail and check-into the campsite to refresh your souls before leave. You will check out at 11:00 am and be transferred back to your hotel.
