Full description
Escape the hustle and bustle of New Orleans to explore Louisiana’s mystical bayou landscapes on a half-day swamp tour, with roundtrip transportation included. After a hotel pickup, head down to the bayou swamplands, where you will board your boat with your captain guide. See the local wetland flora and fauna from the comfort of your boat as you drift along the water. Listen as your guide narrates the story of the backwaters, the Cajun culture that infuses the area, and points out some of the critters that call the bayous home. Keep a special eye out for deer, birds, snakes, raccoons, fish, and maybe even an alligator. After your guided boat tour, hop back into the vehicle for a drop-off back at your New Orleans hotel.

Great experience! I enjoyed the guide. It was extremely hot and humid but it was neat to see all the animals of the swamp. I’m so grateful that the company pick up guests and transport them to the swamp. Thank you! Only negative was the smell of the swamp water. Also, our tour guide ran out of content and relied on us to ask questions.

Due to COVID there weren't many passengers so we were able to space out easily. Good for us as customers but I felt bad for the company itself. Business is really slow for them right now. We saw numerous alligators. We didn't get to see a feeding this tour due to a lot of the larger alligators still hibernating (we went while it was still cool in early March). Per our guide they start to come out once the water warms up. Of course the southern chill and frost over that passed over has it a little chillier than usual this time of year. We got to hold a 2 year old alligator, Bruce, and that was so cool!!!

Excellent tour, we were picked up at our hotel and our driver gave us a tour of the city has we traveled to the Swamp location. He stopped and gave us a chance to take pictures. Once we arrived at the swamp location, the captain gave us an excellent tour of the swamp.
