This tour takes you to the authentic New Orleans. I learned history that made the city what it is. Erin our tour guide was awesome. She is very knowledgeable and friendly. If you want to learn about New Orleans that's not the French Quarter this is the one to take

The Tour of Tremé was amazing. We were able to see so many iconic locations during this walking tour. Although we were in the heat of the day, our tour guide, Malika, was very considerate by making sure we were in the shaded areas as we stopped and she gave us more in-depth information about each place. We were even able to experience a special prayer ritual at the Prayer tree in Congo Square. Malika took her time throughout the tour to share her wealth of knowledge on New Orleans and it’s vast cultural history. She took her time and did not rush us through the process. Overall, we had an absolutely great time on this tour. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning, not just about Tremé, but also about New Orleanian history.

Enthusiastic guide, but too talkative about her personal life.

Dartanya spent too much time spent in Armstrong Park standing and talking, and I realized later that we didn’t see Armstrong’s statue! Less time was available to walk the neighborhood. A laundromat referred to in the tour description was not pointed out, not sure what the significance was. The Petit Jazz Museum was a delight, but it wasn’t clear on tour description or guide that the tour was ending there for presentation by Alvin Jackson.
